The German Bundeswehr will recive in 2019 12% more money ...overall the budget is 43.2 billion Euro ($ ~50billion) ... the fifth increase in a row.

The main investments in new equipment

5.6 billion Euro new transport helicopter(60 units) as replacement for CH-53. (CH-53K or CH-47F)
new airdefence system TLVS
new submarines
new MKS 180 (6 x frigate class ships ~10.000to nearly twice as large as the current Sachsen class with 5.800to)
1.5billion Euro investment for new clothing and personal gear.

I expect this size ship to have around 100 VLS cells for the placement of SAMs, anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles and torpedos.

Any news on availability on the Typhoon?

the latest I have heard was from 2. quartal 2018...
overall 132 jets..
88 were flight ready
44 were in inspection, upgrade or repair programs

of the 88 in average 44 were permanently flight ready for emergency responde or other dutys... the other 44 needed some hour preperation to get flight ready. That is a increasment in readyness of 5planes... in the same time 2017 only 39 were permanent flight ready.

The claim of many newspaper that the Luftwaffe owns only 4 ready Eurofigther is utterly bullshit claim... they refer to a specific air to air missle (without even claiming which one) that the Luftwaffe owns only enough to equip 4 jets with them.... so the press claims we only have 4 ready jets of 128...even ignoring the fact that the Luftwaffe owns 132... one stupid idiot or propaganda troll publish this fail news and all other press repeat it, without even bothering to check if true or not.. similar to the US Donald Cook ...which was claimed to be taken out of action to a electronic attack of two russian SU-24s...this russian fake news was published by the Sun and Fox News... till the New York time did some research and realized that russian SU-24 were never equipped with the Khibiniy system... even the russian producer of this system claimed that this story is fake and untrue... but it spread all over the world in the news... that US Navy sailor resigned in panick after they reached the next port...

there is still old stuff left in the inventory. they increased the budget for that. stuff like Tornados etc.
