My grandpa was born in 1954. Guess you live in an alternative timeline. Also i dont remember that italy was occupied. And india did not even exist as nation in WW II...you were a colony.

No. We are in G7 and the GDP per capita is 28.800 €. That of india is...1165,- $. You can claculate yourself. I heared indians are good at math. That means the average indian worker has almost 25 times higher income than an indian. India has extreme poverty issues while italy belongs to the richest nations on earth (as europe as whole). I find this quite interesting.

Nobody is in jail in india. One sailor is back home here in italy, the other works in our embassy there and regulary attemds party and night clubs there and lives a luxury life.
