Do you think electric aircraft will be in wide use in the coming years? Remember reading that Easyjet and Ryanair have started developing such jets as the EU is expected to enforce even tighter regulations on fossil fuel power jets.

Electric airplane is the future... and the reason is that train is expensive. So on short to medium routes (450-1000 km) electric airplanes will replace both the trains and jet-engined airplanes. However for longer distance than 1000 km electric won't be able to compete with conventional jetliners due the battery limitation. Only slow trains like regional tåg will survive but snabb tåg like SJ2000/3000 will not be able to compete on prise / time
