First time I heard someone use that word in Army was by my brothers friend, who was an ADC to a general, then it was my other brother who was in habit of using it a lot when he was serving as an ADC/SO himself. So when military people use it for them(higher ranks), it makes sense, but if we ordinary people use it for them, it kind of reflects on our tendencies towards self imposed subordination. But that's my way of thinking......To each his own
