Eleven people stormed into a house in a central Indian village and assaulted a woman, whom they accused of witchcraft, blinding her and her husband by stabbing them in the eyes with scissors. A doctor at a local hospital said the couple would likely never be able to see again.

Police officer S.S. Baghel said that a family in Khaira village had been having money troubles and health problems, which they blamed on a 45-year-old woman.

Chhattisgarh state passed the Witchcraft (Prevention) Act in 2005 to crack down on offenders. But the law has hardly made an impact in tribal areas, where atrocities against women accused of witchcraft still flourish and the majority of cases go unreported.

unfortunately we have a huge population that is brain-washed like tallboy123 by hindu militants and it also includes a large segment of indian army.an indian army coloniel burnt a Pakistani train few years ago the samjohta express.....indian members here instead of accepting our problems just close their eyes like our media and it creates problem for ordinary indians like me

C'mon, these Internal Issues are there In every country, ..

We cant keep posting such Incident on a Forum...reason is explained bygaurish

One needs to have a News of Higher Magnitude such as killing of Osama under the nose of ISI, Kuwait Denying visa to Pakistan, Bomb Blast killing dozens everyday, 9 yrs suicide bomb being trained, drone attacks killing innocents everyday etc to Bash a country...
