Question for Pakistani folks...

Why is it that most Pakistani's write down Gandhi's name as "Ghandi" and not "Gandhi"?

I mean is it supposed to be slandering or a mock or do they actually think its "Ghandi"? Because at times, the way they post, it appears to be deliberate, other times, it appears that they think thats what the correct spelling is(ie the wrong one).

So what is it?

It is your uncalled for panic nothing else. Because if you have given some attention to som eother words like "Delhi" "Dehli" we also write this word most of the time unitentionaly with two different spells based on the sound it makes when you speak it in Urdu :) same goes of Ghandi or Gandhi.

There is no intentional bid in it.

Friendly Advice too not read into too much bias

Ofcourse not. Therefore i asked, because at times it appeared deliberate, other times simply normal. I thought it prudent to ask before forming my own judgement.

Hahah lol :cheesy: wats going on here?

In the US press you see both spellings. Most Americans pronounce the name as "Ghandi", that is with the "h" sound after the "G". I didn't know that this "mistake" was offensive to Indians.
