What's new

FTC-2000G

This is nothing more than extension of j-7ng into a more paletable form. More for a lower tier market.
This could be a cheaper option for anti-terrorism operations and being two seater African countries may be the targeted market.

This is not connected to JF17 Program a different plane

Agreed and therefore it is off topic: It has no relationship to the JF-17 program, the PAF is not involved so IMO a senior moderator should close or move it.

If for anti-terrorism, then why not go for TAI Hurkus C New generation Light attack Trainer aircraft?

The Hurkus-C light attack / reconnaissance aircraft is designed to integrate a range of bombs and rockets on the external stores to engage ground-based stationary and moving targets.

The armament options include UMTAS / LUMTAS anti-tank missile system, Roketsan Cirit 2.75in laser-guided air-to-surface rocket system, GBU-12 laser-guided bombs, MK 81 and MK 82 unguided general purpose bombs, BDU-33 and MK-106 practice bombs, and HGK-3 INS / GPS and KGK-82 wing-assisted guidance kits for general purpose bombs.

The aircraft can also be armed with a 12.7mm machine gun and a 20mm machine gun pod.

An electro-optical / infrared (EO / IR) imaging system is carried under the fuselage to capture real-time imagery / video for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and situational awareness operations.

G model with more pylons two new added on the fuselage plus first time leading edge flaps added so more Morden also may be better for African af which cannot even afford 15-20 million plus additional 10 or per jf-17 and may be just looking for replacing mig-21 /f-7 with similar generation like this plan

Jf time will come eventually like it worked for k-8 and Mashaq

Landing speed (assuming standard weight for landing ) like f-7 still too high and 1950 technology era engine turbojet so not much performance even though internal fuel may be more than f-7 due to side intake leaving more room in Fuselage ( guessing ) but perhaps 6-8 million a pop will suite some buyer

Yes, as I said, this continues to be the extension of J-7 program which has yielded a lot of good experience. Essentially nose was changed and inlets added - if you look back, this is essentially what Super-7 program was trying to get done but more on high end side with PW engine; but not in same category of Jf-17/fc-1.

Why discontinue an entire assembly line and wp engines which work fine; however a light duty turbofan would have brought in a new dimension.

. . .
Why any country beside PAF would buy FC-1B when cheaper alternative like FTC-2000G and more advance alternative like L-15B exists?

That is a stupid question. One is a small turbojet powered F-7 upgrade, while the other is a LIFT trainer. Neither are twin-seat combat aircraft. With an analogy like yours, you might as well question every twin-seat fighter aircraft. Why is India building a twin-seat Tejas with cheaper Hawks or Kirans?
