Four shot dead outside Kharian court building

KHARIAN: Gunmen shot dead four persons and wounded two others due to old enmity, outside the court of Additional Sessions Judge Kharian on Wednesday. The culprits fled from the scene after the shooting incident.

According to police in an old feud between Mian Shahid and Mian Khalid groups in nearby village Chhokar Kalan, Mian Khalid was killed few months ago and Mian Shahid’s brother Mian Tahir and others arrested in the murder case.

Mian Shahid when arrived for hearing of the case today, the rival group’s gunmen ambushed his car outside the court building and killed four persons in the vehicle Muhammad Ashraf, Malik Usman, Mian Taskeen Ashraf and an unidentified man.

Mian Shahid and Riasat Gujjar were wounded in the indiscriminate firing. The gunmen escaped from the scene after the incident.
