There's 38,000 people working for the Department of Defense. Part of their day-to-day job is to update contingency plans. Ask them. BTW Russia has people doing the same thing all day too.

Interesting, some years back there was a time when many thought Pakistan would go under Taliban control, in such a scenario in future it would be likely that USA would intervene to cease the Pakistani nuclear weapons to protect them form going into the hands of Talibans.

Pakistan can go under Taliban control only if the Army is taken over by fundamentalist rebels within it, which needless to say is highly unlikely if not impossible.

Therefore this scenario of the Taliban taking over Pakistan, is pure unadulterated fiction.

True, but there was a time when Talibans were on a role in Pakistan, swat was under their control at that time, there were media speculations about the possibility of a Taliban regime in Pakistan, of course in collusion with the Taliban sympathizers within the Pakistani army and administration.

Such a scenario may be highly unlikely, but not impossible if the demand for Sharia in Pakistan gets enough traction among public and patronage from people who matter in Pakistan, it would be very bad for us though.

In reality it would be a bad dream for an Indian.

But the fact is - I don't see much hope - the spiral down into a taliban state though slow (and not as rapid as Afghanistan) is indeed happening.

The only entity that's standing against it is the PA - if that becomes radicalized or loses power than we have another fast emerging Taliban state in our midst - one with WMD's.

The PA is alone in this - there is no other country or world body aiding it in its fight, at least the Afghans had / have a whole complement of nations and organizations assisting them in their fight against the Taliban, but Pakistani's are alone in this.

Whether these scenarios exist or otherwise, but today, world is facing a real threat - current sadistic Hindutva regime. Ironically these insane Hindutva goons hold the WMDs. World must realize that the Nazi followers cannot be overlooked and ignored. Their WMDs must be confiscated and their WMD producing capabilities must be neutralized. Otherwise they may trigger world's biggest disaster - nuclear war - the greatest loss of human lives not in millions but billions.

There is a law in Physics - every action has opposite and equal reaction. Interestingly this reactionary force can be stored till it become uncontrollable.

Who knows, the destructions and killings, US did to the innocent population in two cities of Japan in WWII, Vietnam, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan will return back to her with an uncontrollable force and with full of surprises.
