Found chipmunk babies

I once found a baby squirrel inside the trunk of a tree in my school playground.. it was pink in color and painted in blood..seemed the blood from his brothers who were dead.., seemed some crow tried to drag it out.. two other were dead. I got it, washed it with dettol and kept it in a shoe box stuffed with cotton from a pillow... fed it baby food milk and lot of water with a cotton ball drop by drop.. after two or three when it grew furs I gave it muri and biscuit.. but you have keep the box clean, it poos lot after it starts eating... after growing fully, it stayed in my pocket or inside my shirt most of the time even when i was in school.. but soon it was very big and dissapeared in the playground.. went to his friends I guess.. but if you can raise it, they are very addictive, I mean you will love their company.
These look 3-4 weeks old.
Which baby food milk did you feed it?
What is Muri?

I fed them the regular baby milk powder we used to have at home... dont really remember the brand ..I was in class 8 that time..long way back. the regular one in market are nestle's baby food ...you can try them.. Muri mean puffed rice...you crush the puffed rice finer and then feed them.

nice, hope they make it.. that young and without the mother's care its tough for animals. and watch out for cats, sometimes mine will bring home an injured one, got lucky and managed to save a few who were just pretending to be dead, released them outside in a safe spot and they ran faster than light :D

there should be some good info on the web, good luck.

cute! Thats a squirrel.

They eat about anything tbh. I fed them idli /dosai everyday w/ Chutney/sambar, sometimes bread w/ water but they werent this young...they could walk around a bit.

Biryani khilao usko...JK feed it a mixture of powdered milk, salt, sugar and water. Don't put too much salt though. If it has teeth then feed it some small pieces of fruit. Also give it peanut butter.

I once found a baby rabbit in my backyard. I was mowing the lawn and it jumped up from the grass. I then moved it out of harms way. I tried feeding it but it was too frightened to eat. I put it back in my backyard (where I see rabbits quite often in the Spring and Summer) after I was done mowing the lawn.

Pieces of romaine lettuce. I had searched rabbits love eating romaine lettuce.

There are 3 of them :-)
I moved to formula milk. They are sleeping for an extended time.
well keep em warm...Well then again they are babies...thats what babies do sleep alot, wake up eat and play :P

Good thing you found 3....a single one would have been depressed and scared...

Well, if you can find an animal that recently gave birth (cat or dog) she MAY take it in and adopt it....Youtube shows a bunch of such videos

nuts and carrots would have done a better job...The 1st thing to do is gain its confidence and make it feel warm then it will just keep munching...Rodents are like that they dont stop munching...

1 of my hostel mate had a pet rabbit (about a mth old) the thing wouldnt stop eating and pooping!

Awwww....how cute ! :kiss3:

Post some pictures on ! :agree:

@Akheilos - You raised kittens....right ? Help him out ! :)
Yaar kittens are easier to handle they can drink other types of milk and you can almost always find a cat willing to adopt an abandoned one

The rabbits in my backyard also like eating this little flower plant so I tried feeding that as well but it was too frightened. I moved it out of the backyard temporarily and once I was done mowing the I put it back in the backyard.

There is a cat with the neighbour, but they are trying to get rid of the cat and kittens... I won't add more pressure to them.
I hope these survive. I'll try to reach an animal rescue team locally.
