For Those Of Us Who Live In The U.S Of A. High School GPA Question

.
OK, schools almost over and freshmen year was much harder than I expected it to be. Right now, my GPA is low (Please don't ask for it) can someone please enlighten me, and explain to me how I can improve my GPA next year.

P.S: I also heard if you could get a good GPA in a community college then you could go to a better college after doing good there. Is that true, or is it just plain b.s?

My system was that a syllabus becomes a bible/quran. Syllabus tells you the future of your studies. For example it goes on weekly bases, and says things like, Chapter 2 blah, blah. So what you do is read ahead of time (Chapter 2) before the Monday class, even though you would not understand single bit. In the class the professor is going to teach you regarding Chapter 2, then when you get home read Chapter 2 again, I bet you will remember alot regarding that Chapter 2.. Infact, it removes memorization and actually understanding the subject. That is the way to good grades.

I graduated with 3.75 in college and in High school 2.0, but in SAT I did have 1000 score with such bad performance in High School. Well here is advise from late 30's guy...

Well I thought you where in college, but after the reading the thread you are still in High School. That strategy is still same, look at your syllabus, if not provided, ask your teacher, she/he will, if you ask. I have asked for it for my first grader and the teacher was confused, but I got one!!!!!

Hi
i don't know about American system but in our university we also have GPA system. Inorder to improve your GPA you will have to get maximum A+ & A's that is the only way you will be able to consolidate your CGPA & for that you gotta study there is no substitute for hard work so open your books and start cramming i am saying this with experience as i was able to lift my CGPA from 3.6 to 3.8

While I do not recommend this, I have known friends who raised their
GPA's by avoiding any class they could that was difficult for them. This is also a standard approach for high school athletes who need to have the best GPA they can with the least time spent on academics.

Don't tell your parents that I mentioned this approach......
