For their comrades: Indian cartoonists sketch to support Charlie Hebdo

Good Point ! What will they do when other cartoonist make derogatory cartoons of Hindu gods and godesses ? Then the Hinduvta brigade will come out and start their violent agitations. As they are doing against PK.

Brahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Been There, Done That.

Practicing muslima Teesta Setalvad drew Islamic State terrorists as Hindu Gods.

As expected, Not a peep from Muslims. They get offended only when someone draw muhammad as terrorist.

BTW Indians and other posters, Not even a single media house is printing Charlie's Cartoon. Indian media does not have balls to do that. What they are printing is cartoon of broken pencils in order to show solidarity. They know the drill. Show fake solidarity, proclaim chimera of reprisal attack on muslims, loudly wonder what would become of them they print offensive cartoons of Hindu gods or Jesus (depending on their location). Peddle their leftist agenda once storm in the teacup subsides. On next terrorist attack, Rinse and Repeat.

Freedom of expression has a limit too. Fortunately I am a follower of a religion which gives me that freedom but instructs me strictly to make no fun of other religions or God(s) of other religions. If otherwise, it is simply provocation of the sentiments and not democratic ethics.

@anonymus

That practising muslimah is actually practising evil if she is doing this. Wrong and absurd and shouldn't be taken as representative of Islamic faith.

And you are wrong in generalizing; I haven't seen it like most of us and now I condemn it then and there.

You do understand the difference between a facebook post and an actual journalist/newspaper making such a thing? In either case it should be ignored and not give them the attention that they desire

If an Indian newspaper did print a highly offensive drawing of an Hindu god I doubt the reaction from Hindus would be as civilized as your trying to claim.

World cant justify bloodshed. We cant allow the suppression of freedom of expression. We should encourage medias for criticise superstitions and other stupid belief.
But we should also check the otherside.Thise French paper has a tendency for unwantedly target other peoples genuine belief and the way they express their freedom is quite immoral and they are targeting peoples human rights for their beliefs .And some articles say they are regularly targeting Prophet due to actions of some nutjobs. But their immoral criticism.is always cause dissents among common muslims and in a way theyare also creating suitable circumstances for radicalization among Muslims

We should condemned any type of violent method .But medias
should also follow some ethics for crticism.

She is not a journalist. She is a Muslim rights activist.

Which makes it even worse than a numbskull journalist printing it in newspaper.

I have no idea who she is and if what you're claiming is true than she shouldn't have done that, but saying that this is in same scope or worse :o: as an international newspaper doing it, is just ridiculous.

No, big difference like what @sreekumar said. Nobody knows her and spreading her evil will only make her famous and strong. Let the dog bark in the courtyard!

Dude,

Every one with TV,Newspaper, or internet knows her in India. She is an avid Modi hater which means a lot of screen time and editorial inches in India.

I just gave you some maths mate. You showed the cartoon here as if we knew about it, but now you have our instant condemnation on her BS. Whatever else is your internal matter.

Why the heck do you guys even bother with these losers from across the border? No one in the whole freaking world gives a flying duck what they think. Like always they have become an dum-challa to international events begging for some attention and a meager notion of being someone.

Seriously Pakistanis jumping to bait is becoming more boring then the troll bait itself.

Havent read such a stupid comment for a long time....

only difference is she is still alive.

so that's the lesson for Muslim Extremists. Learn to be tolerant, and no matter what don't kill or use violence.

Funny if no one gives a flying duck then why do Pakistanis say they are Indians when abroad.

Indian cartoonists joined their brethren from around the world in an outpouring of anguished and biting solidarity with those gunned down at French weekly Charlie Hebdo.

They are reacting as they know best — by putting pen to paper.

By composing biting and mocking satirical drawings against what is being perceived as an attack on the very foundations of democracy, the cartoonists stood up for the right to lampoon whatever they choose as editorialists.

Good move. Nice way to protest.

But I have a bad feeling about this.
