Flying Apsaras/angels are one of the most distinct Buddhist imagery from the historic periods, not not they are seen in India but n western asia/persia and greco roman arts and later in the christian arts, a seal from Indus valley civilization excavated from Ur, Iraq depicts flying apsara type imagery which indicates Buddhist arts connection to Bronze age period
