Flood relief for our people in Pakistan!

Guys as we all know the hardhship that the people of Pakistan facing as it is and now with the floods making it very hard for the poor in small towns and cities . I was just wondering some of you had helped out in the last flood relief work and took donations and bought and took supplies to the poor your self if any of you are doing that or willing to do it again you can count me in the donations. May GOD have mercey on our country and its people may GOD bless Pakistan.

Who knows if these studies are taken place or not... as per the water issue sure there is water the problem is the courpt gov that won't take a stand to have ways of bringing clean and freah water to the people. Floods are there because of massive rain and floods are their because once again the drainage sys is old and backed up and not cleaned to undertake water coming in to it. Their where massive drainage projects in karachi that took place from several years ago and some have been completed i have seen it first hand when i went back home 3 years ago but again becuase of courpt gov many of the projects have been stopped or just in lala land.

as far as I know, Nawa-e-Waqt, concerned citizens of Pakistan and Imran khan foundation has taken up the task... we only donate to these foundations, rest you know speakers' and pm fund... who cares !

I wish I could go and be a helping hand myself...but...it seems I have an excuse...though genuine but I feel falling short....

And what is that you are doing or others doing ? i mean iam talking about starting a donation drive here yaar..

yaar I have experiences of fund/charity raising within my PR and believe me, the attitude is as if they are giving you the money... as if you are begging them money for yourself... which also effects the relations in later stages...

then what my cousin and I did in last years floods, was asked everyone within the family...we called everyone, and waited for them to call back to let us know if they want to give....

this time so far, we have not done the same, rather deposited amounts on individual base.

noble indeed, I would suggest that its better to give donations to organizations, as they work on larger scale, our little contribution would be part of their larger plan,

collecting money and then asking someone to buy and take the stuff to flooded areas may have more personal satisfaction but no real help...

to tell you the truth, I see hardly people realizing how badly Sindh is effected by floods, media and relief activists are hardly seen like previous year, I dont understand the reason of this indifference...

no less than 22 districts out of 24 of Sindh are affected by rains and floods...you can well imagine how bad is the situation...

But this time around there are less news reports on the same in world medias. Why so?

And how good was the disaster forecast and management this time ??
