ISLAMABAD: As many as five legislators on Wednesday joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

MNAs Dr Mohammad Afzal Khan Dhandla from Bhakkar and Mian Mohammad Rasheed from Narowal have decided to quit PML-N and join PTI.

Both had a meeting with the Chairman PTI Imran Khan at Banigala on Wednesday. Senior PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen was also present on the occasion.

Moreover, MPAs Ghazanfar Abbas Cheema, Amir Shahani and Awais Qasim have also decided to join PTI.

Meanwhile, PTI has completed interviews of 382 candidates of National and provincial assemblies of eight districts of Southern Punjab.

As many as 74 candidates have applied for 24 seats of National Assembly and 382 candidates for 48 seats of provincial assembly.

From Rawalpindi, 19 candidates have applied for National Assembly seats and 141 applied for provincial assemblies seats.

From Sargodha, 17 candidates have applied for NA and 52 for provincial assembly seats.

From Khoshab, six candidates have applied for National Assembly and 25 for provincial assembly seats.

From Chakwal, three candidates have applied for National Assembly seats of and 19 for provincial assembly.

From Northern Punjab 13 women have also applied for tickets.

Well alot of people will leave themselves if they don't get the party ticket. But PTI won't be able to dump the ones that would have won in the coming elections.

Every single election is like this, during 2008 people were joining up with PPP and then in 2013 they started migrating to PMLN. and now PTI is their destination.

Nope, everyone was joining Q league in 2008. I'm talking about punjab here. To many people divided their vote bank, hard to please all.

If PTI comes in power, they must fix the system. We need good checks and balances in the system to prevent nepotism and corruption. Decentralized of power to districts/city/union council level and then move toward smaller provinces. Complete FATA & KPK merger, South Punjab, South Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan should be given provincial status.
Building smaller dams in Sindh and Balochistan, also work toward kalabagh dam.

Everyone was jumping to PML-Q in 2002, not 2008. In 2008, everyone wanted a PPP ticket because they knew it was a sure shot win.

Catching a corrupt (via merit appointed officers) and barring him for life from ever holding a public office through courts is the relatively easy bit, that he should be able to pull off.
