Five killed in target killing incidents in Karachi

KARACHI: Five people, including a Lyari gangster, were killed in separate incidents reported in the city on Friday.
Sajjad 32, was shot dead in the Zaman Town police limits. Police said on Friday night, Sajjad was present near a shop when two armed men riding a motorcycle came and opened fire upon him. He was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police termed the murder an incident of target killing and said that he was a supporter of a political party.
In a separate incident, tortured and bullet-riddled body of Syed Fahim Raza, 30, was found from the Pak Colony police limits. The body was found lying near Lyari River, Pak Colony
on Friday morning. The deceased was a resident of Firdos Colony, Gulbahar, who had left his house on Thursday night and was kidnapped.
In Chakiwara area armed men gunned down Waqar Ismail, 25. Police said that deceased Waqar was passing from Al-Falah Road when two armed men riding a motorcycle shot him dead. Police has termed the killing an incident of target killing. In Bihar Colony armed men gunned down an unidentified man. Police said that, the deceased was standing at a bakery when two armed men shot him dead.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Rauf, a member of Lyari Gang War, was gunned down in Baghdadi police limits. SHO Alam Dahri said that the gangster Rauf was present within Machli Market, when armed men riding a motorcycle shot him dead. The police termed the killing part of ongoing gang war.
