MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) - First atomic force microscope (AFM) based on the Belarusian technology have been produced in Vietnam, Sergei Chizhik, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, told reporters.

A joint facility to produce atomic force microscopes was set up in Vietnam. These microscopes allow scientists to get a look into the nano-world. Without them it is impossible to develop nanotechnology today.

Kazakhstan also shows interest in starting a joint production of atomic force microscopes, Sergei Chizhik informed. Belarus also hopes to establish similar cooperation with other countries, particularly with South-East Asia states. “We have occupied a niche in the market for atomic force microscopy, which enables us to export products and technology to other countries,” said Sergei Chizhik.

The first step of establishing a nanotechnology industry in Vietnam is done.

What is the price per unit? When i was doing my master's, the University didn't let us use it without supervision coz' of being too costly.

And then there was Discrete Light Spectrum analyzer, it's used to analyze the variation of particle sizes of compound semiconductor synthesis in a liquid medium. Another important equipment if you want to study nanotechnology.

Sorry mate, I have no clue. If you like, you may contact or send an email with your queries to:
Mr. Sergei Chizhik, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
or
Mr Chau Van Minh, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).
I think Vietnam can make these devices much cheaper.

Yes, that´s right. There are a number of devices required in nanotechs. AFM is just a basic component.
