Finance ministry nullifies Firdous Ashiq’s tweet on reduction in prices of petroleum products

Islamabad: In yet another embarrassing moment, Ministry of Finance on Friday nullified tweet of Special Advisor to PM on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan regarding reduction in prices of the petroleum products.
As per details garnered, the spokesperson for finance ministry stated that an issue in this regard will be issued tomorrow [August 31].
He further added that prices of the petroleum products being aired by media outfits were not accurate.
Earlier today, Awan announced a cut of Rs 4.59 per litre in price of petrol.
The notification read that price of high-speed diesel was slashed by Rs 7.67, kerosene oil by Rs 4.27 and light diesel by Rs 5.63.
