You won't understand this, but from the middle class neighborhood I grew up in we knew our neighbors, and stood with them in thick and thin. Our galli (lane), and the one before, and after, knew us.
Unfortunately, now if you know your next door neighbor, it's a big deal.
Haha .. Month back I moved into a new house ... Servant were moving stuff and got thirsty .. I wasn't in the house and the market is a far from my house (and neither did they or me know of any shop nearby)... My servant went to the neighbours house and asked for water .. Infact the poor chap went to 2 houses and nobody even had the courtesy to even offer him water...
Urbanisation comes at a cost..
Ironically the same twat came to my house next day asking if i needed anything ... Can you believe the irony ?
The only thing i miss here is my hometown and my parents house (in another garrison station)... Atleast the people look out for eachother in so called posh areas.. It's another story..
@ topic ...got into fights a lot till my college days ... Only twice at university (wasn't my fault .. You don't hit a guy walking with your motorcycle and than act like Rambos just coz you are 3 and the other guy is alone)... And than cry and give threats after getting a nice *** whooping...
Never been to jail/station though..
