Fight and jail

You won't understand this, but from the middle class neighborhood I grew up in we knew our neighbors, and stood with them in thick and thin. Our galli (lane), and the one before, and after, knew us.

Unfortunately, now if you know your next door neighbor, it's a big deal.

Haha .. Month back I moved into a new house ... Servant were moving stuff and got thirsty .. I wasn't in the house and the market is a far from my house (and neither did they or me know of any shop nearby)... My servant went to the neighbours house and asked for water .. Infact the poor chap went to 2 houses and nobody even had the courtesy to even offer him water...

Urbanisation comes at a cost..

Ironically the same twat came to my house next day asking if i needed anything ... Can you believe the irony ?

The only thing i miss here is my hometown and my parents house (in another garrison station)... Atleast the people look out for eachother in so called posh areas.. It's another story..

@ topic ...got into fights a lot till my college days ... Only twice at university (wasn't my fault .. You don't hit a guy walking with your motorcycle and than act like Rambos just coz you are 3 and the other guy is alone)... And than cry and give threats after getting a nice *** whooping...

Never been to jail/station though..

I got in a fight in elementary school, dude wouldn't leave me alone, and the teachers wouldn't separate us. didn't get in trouble.

Had another fight in camp, he kept testing my patience so I pinned him. Didn't get in trouble. After that nothing, never went to prison either.

I've been in jail in three countries and have also been arrested by military police in india, doubt anybody can beat me on this forum :-)

1) Punjab: My best buddy got into a fight with officers of Sikh Regiment in Punjab. We threw a few punches and had the upper hand but then the military police came and picked us up. We were put in the back of an army truck and handcuffed and then an Army guy came, jawaans held our hands behind our backs and he punched us each on the head once with brass knuckles. Both of us are besharam people and were laughing while getting beaten up and afterwards leaving the army guys puzzled.
2) Punjab: Normal college panga had to spend a night in thana and was let go next day
3) Punjab: This guy abused my dad over a traffic incident and I pushed him hard and he hit his head on the road. Police came, arrested me and then let me go after a few hours and made me sign a letter of compromise.
4) Mexico: My cousin got drunk and didn't like the federal police asking us to move and told him that he would shove a grenade down his throat. They didn't like that obviously and picked us up. I was scared this time because they have a reputation down here. Paid $500 in bribes and was let go.
5) America: Partied too hard and my friend got into a fight with a black guy at 7/11, police arrested both of us for public intoxication :undecided: Had to attend Alcoholics Anonymous classes on the advice on my lawyer even though I'm far from an alcoholic, charges were eventually dropped.
