we have a very good landscape in India to train these sportsmen from high mountainous region to coastalplains and desert. we should use it.

I'm sorry but when the nations at the top of the table have 100+ (so 20 times more) 5/6 is hardly anything to really celebrate. And this is a mindset thing because the USA and China are not 20 times richer than India wrt GDP PPP but they are sensible enough to invest in multiple sports. It is simply not true that India's poor performance is because "Indians aren't naturally athletic" but because of chronic under-investment in any sport other than Cricket!! Look at hockey- the national sport and India comes LAST in the Olympics??It really is shameful that in a nation of 1.2 BILLION and aspirations to become a "great power" nations like Kuwait,Turkey,Qatar, Jamaica, Cuba,Czech Republic,Romania,Denmark,Poland,Kenya, Azerbaijan, Croatia,Columbia Sweden, Georgia etc etc have ALL done better than India in terms of total medals and golds. And that too when people like Sachin and Dhoni are paid millions od USD a year and the IPL is valued at $3+ BN!!
