Indonesia vs South Korea. South Korea won with 104: 84

Mostly Korean scores through 3 points where Indonesian three points shooters are not good. 2 main Indonesian players (most scores (Jawato: 195 cm) and talented young player (Derrick; 203 cm) dont play because Jawato is injured and Derrick is in Australia, getting trained in NBA Academy.

If we can be more though on defense, we still have potential to win, particularly if we have Jawato and Derrick

Indonesia still has chance to be part of 8 best team in Asia ( which also include Australia and New Zealan)

1. We need to work hard and sharpen our accuracy in shooting, both three points and two points shoot.

2. Bring Derick Michael to the team again and he should abandon the training in NBA Academy Australia for a while. With 203 meters height, he is a good addition as we see our rebound is so weak if we face strong team.

3. Ali Bagir is injured, but he will be a good addition if we can pass the qualification to the FIBA World Cup in 2023

Indonesia Forwards will be quite good if we have Jawato (195 cm-26 years old), Derrick Michael (203 cm-18 years old), and Ali Bagir (195 cm-20 years old)

Thanks, but actually as a host in August game, we have already automatically been passed, but next round competition between third position teams IMO is something our team is needed to improve their performance. The next round competition for the third position teams will be held in Jakarta.

Dont underestimate Asian team, Philippine only lost from strong European team, Serbia, at 5 points in Tokyo Olympic Qualification.

Jakarta needs to decrease its Covid daily infection rate from 21.000 into at least 15.000. I hope goverment will allow the game to run in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) sport complex in August. I also hope we can watch the game freely through internet like in Qualifying round.

There is good news about stadium. Indonesia Basketball Association will build new Basketball stadium in GBK complex soon as Jakarta Governor has approved it. The location is said near Sport Ministry complex.

The location will be near GBK Basketball Hall and this place will likely become a place to practice for foreign teams in a large tournament like FIBA World Cup.

Congratulations to Indonesia . Hoping we can also qualify from the third place qualifiers.

FIBA has already stated that Indonesia will directly go to final round. India will be with Saudi, Palestine, and in the other play off qualification group there is Guam and Taiwan.

Indonesia has invited any team to have friendly match with our team before they play in play off or final round. It is crucial for us to do this, India can actually accept the offer and come to Jakarta early.

Anyway we have called another player, Sandi Ibrahim, to join the national team practice, previously he gets some injury during IBL competition.
