She agreed to be extradited from Israel to the U.S. and plea-bargained with the court. She could have refused. In essence, she confessed to her crime. Three years in jail paid her debt to society. But that didn't necessarily lift the weight on her conscience.

In Canada you can easily earn 2000 $ a month without risking ur life and not working too hard. I doubt Kurds would pay 2000 $ a month + other expenditures (arming, feeding etc) someone who worth very little as combatant. Plus there is a presumption of innocence - he burden of proof is on u.

Turkey arrested thousand of jihadists and deported back to their countrys, some of them got released and captured again in Turkey, how about the origin countrys stop suspicious people from leaving?

Closing the entire border with Syria is hard, but in case of Kobani its very small place with large Turkish army presence. Obviously no one can enter there without your government approval. Unless he is some kind of James Bond.

Plus we know that your government explicitly allowed ARMED fighters pass to Kobani.
