Arnab Goswami's interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be described in one sentence-an interview where the interviewer becomes the news and not the interviwee.

On Twitter, #PMSpeakstoArnab and #ArnabGoswami were both trending topics as several people lampooned the interview.



It was also criticised for not being real and some even suspected that it as a scripted one.

What seems to have struck the viewers is the surprising change in Arnab's style as he asked questions in a friendly tone, listening intently to the Prime Minister, without interrupting him even once.

He is sitting prime minister of India
So conduct should there

I have seen so similar conduct when Obama interact with US media

Of course man...You are talking to elected Prime minister of India...Even same protocol is provided for lame ducsk PM like Mr Singh...So of course, Modi should at least deserve it.

An interview is NOT a debate.
The Sickulars are really "hurt" that Modi is not even bothering with them and hence this idiotic response.

An interview is not a debate. And when interviewing constitutional figures, "reporters" NOT the presstitutes, need to maintain a certain level of decorum. Otherwise it has no meaning.

FYI, Anyone remember any Indian PM in last decade giving interviews?
Or may be they remember a national party president giving an interview?

The thing is, these presstitutes and sickulars don't have the "cricket balls* to question why the previous dispensations PM and president NEVER gave interviews..but they will readily crap on BJP!

Country cannot be in election mode all 365 days of the year, and so cant be the interviews.

Its obvious interviews taken during elections and taken during stable administrative govt will show a prominent difference in approach the way interview is conducted.

good to see mr. goswami in a mellowed down avatar. initially, i too, thought that this is a scripted interview (as arnab is so patient, which is like pigs flying off the cliff). however, it dawned upon me that, as @DesiGuy1403 rightly pointed, its not a debate. neither the Prime Minister was just another part of a fire breathing panel.
we need to learn from this episode that, in a hurry to insult Modi, we shouldnt insult the Prime Minister.

MMS had one , only one interview with the general press during his tenure. all senior editors came there, all asked him questions, arnab was there too and behaved badly like always , he had to be rebuked by the press secretary . this interview with modi showed a side of arnab which no one has seen .
also #chaipechamcha was also trending a lot.

Glad to see arnab at least respecting someone .

Lol. All his fake prime times at 9 the newshour show have led the people to believe that his interviews are fake too.
I am sure he respects the prime minister and it would have been the same if it was an interview with the president but consider if it was an interview of a CM of any state. Oh my..
