You are absolutely correct. The Doklam plateau is only one part of Doklam.

In June, our roads already reached the plateau and approached the IA outpost at Doka La on their side of the border. IA crossed the border to stop further progress and demanded that China leave Doklam (Bhutan land) entirely not just the plateau.

PLA was able to defend the territory and IA vacated Doklam entirely after a$$ kicking in Ladakh. Although the Indians today only admit that PLA bunkers are built up to the edge of Doklam plateau actually it is impossible for PLA to garrison the plateau without at least temporary shelter like a hut or a tent.

I expect China to continue building the road up to the 1890 trijunction since the foreign ministry already declared so. Will wait for this final news and let the Indians be happy for now with the fig leaf covering Modi's shame.
