I will name a few who have. China,Britian,France,Isreal,Pakistan,Iran,North Korea,South Africa..etc. the list is long.... ANY NATION PLANNING TO AQUIRE NUCLEAR WEOPANS CARRIES OUT HORIZONTIAL POLIFERATION.

The term was invented to show off that something illegal has been done whne countries are able to extract their goals through nuclear techs which were consider civilian and deny these countries future techs so that they dont challenge western monopoly over these techs.

This is called twisting the logic. Poliferation is when a nation/entity delibrates sells these techs for personal/political goals.

If India was so keen on poliferating,why hasn't it provide nuclear weapons to Taiwan? Pay the Chinese in the same coin?
If India has been exporting from black market how come India is able to produce nuclear reactors while Pakistan with a similar source is not able to ? India has more nuclear reactors than China itself.
If Indian designed supercomputers are used in weapons design how is it called poliferation? Just because it has Intel chips on them?

Two scientist went to Iran and this is considered as Indian gov's policy on proliferation? By the same logic two important Pakistani scientist were arrested for meeting OBL. Should we say it is the policy of Pakistan government to provide nuclear weapons to Al-qeida?
The last time I know Libya and Iran have publicly declared that weapon design was provided by Pakistan.

It always surprised me why India is not making Taiwan as a proxy against China,as China is doing with Pakistan.

But then if you have a bigger adversary like US to deal with China,why bother betting on a smaller country. I guess.

There is nothing China can do if we help Taiwan, Just like there is nothing we can do when China Helps Pakistan.
I have to agree our politicans and beaurcrats are myopic as well quite inexperienced in international geo-politics and strategic affairs. It is just a matter of time.

America will not allow India to interfere. The reason being that Taiwan is trying to strike a balance between a strong defence, and not provoking a Chinese response.

America cannot allow or disallow anything. Taiwan is not an american protectorate, neither is India subservient to US interests. Its in the US interests btw to have a strong Taiwan to have a worried China.

India can supply radars, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, warships, economic incentives. Hell give Taiwan BrahMos with increased range and China would think twice about sending their ships there.

Get a naval base there, support Taiwan strategically. Theres a whole load of things India can do even apart from giving nukes.

Cuban missile crisis is not even remotely COMPARABLE in this scenario. China is not America. Far from it. What can China actively do? Lol. We have missiles already targetting them. China is in no position to respond, like we are not in any position to respond to them when they give Pakistan missiles and nuclear tech.

We are not taking American influence away from Taiwan. Though incase you have not noticed, US seems to want to give influence to us now. Either way, we would complement the US initiative in that area, or why do you think that the US sells weapons to Taiwan?
