First-of-its-kind post in State has been developed by Chittoor district police
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday inspected the Filed Alert Centre for Operational Networking (Falcon) mobile command control post at Kuppam, the first of its kind in the State, developed by the Chittoor police.
Chittoor Superintendent of Police Ghattamaneni Srinivas informed the Chief Minister that the command post had been fitted with advanced digital equipment such as high-resolution cameras, scanners, wireless sets and data receiving and transfer modules. “Apart from deployment for VIP movements, the command post would play a crucial role in crime control and alert policing,” he said.
The mobile command post was developed by Mr. Srinivas in coordination with automobile expert designers and software professionals. A Chennai-based firm had executed the design.
The Chief Minister appreciated the Chittoor police for raising more than 5,000 community police officers.
