The population will have an intense tantrum if we 'play it smart' if you know what I mean. Otherwise if we take the route that our allies are going with the benefits will be immense. If it was in my power I woulfd invite me to Islamabad and pull the rug under the billion Gangoo's in India. Sooner or later all Arab countries including Saudia will have full on relationships [they already do under a thin veil] and Pakistan will find itself last to do so and thus lose out on using this opportunity. Insrtead of sacrificing it on alter of mislaid loyalty to a non existent ummah.
Reality check: If the ummah was so non-existent then why KSA and UAE are helping us despite we had a bad patch of relations with them for the past 7-8 years? Why not Japan, Germany or UK with much bigger economies? If it was in my power I woulfd invite me to Islamabad and pull the rug under the billion Gangoo's in India. Reality check 101. If you could demostrate to me a correlation between Pakistan's allies or well wishers and religion you could convince me but let me assure you simple secular reasons outweigh religion in international relations. Just because KSA helped does not by per se mean the reasons were driven ummah love - could those reasons be secular or simple geoplitics of self interest? A quick scan of Pakistan's international relations betrays and lucidly exposes that religion is not the primary driver in geopolitics. I list three interesting examples why you to muse over and draw your inferances from -Reality check: If the ummah was so non-existent then why KSA and UAE are helping us despite we had a bad patch of relations with for the past 7-8 years?
