Facts make Pakistan "NEVER" a British Colony | Propagating fiction
  • Nearly 70% of current Pakistan's area and Pakistani people were never part of the 100 years of British rule from 1857 to 1956 of India.

  • Cities like Islamabad, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, part of Faisalabad, FATA areas, Baluchistan Gawadar, South Punjab, 70% parts of Lahore and 70% of Peshawar never existed since 1857 British arrival till today.

  • Nearly 80% of Pakistanis hate in 75 years was towards British imperialism since 1947. And this continuous tug of war, competition in cricket matches, no arms deals between UK-Pakistan - suggest an un-hidden Cold war and worst foes of each other. Just look at how UK government blame British Pakistanis for grooming gangs and make sure target Pakistani as a community, which is clearly not seen by British to its former colonies like India, Bangladesh, European states., Canada and African states. Deep hate still prevail among white British and Pakistanis . The difference in ideologies, religious values and - this continuous Pakistani resistant mindset never accepted British as the rulers. Being myself living in UK - the constant competition is everyone to see.

  • Imprints of Muslim Mughal rule of 1000 years, over 3000s years of Indus Valley Civilization and Gandara Civilization still affects Pakistanis heavily and - the fact Muslim Arab and Persian imprints of over 1000s of years still affects common Pakistanis as of now 99% Pakistanis are Muslims following Islamic religion and Hinduism or British Christianity.

  • The British rule of India, the British Raj, and its polices did had an effect on India almost 100% but in Pakistan apart from political parliamentary system, its laws, army system and the Governor services, - Nothing is British related as seen from the Queens funeral today. And whatever was left is few buildings, churches in Pakistan is fast vanishing - only the Muslim Islamic imprints in Pakistan still remain.

  • The fact that on British media, BBC - US's CNN always tried to imprint Pakistan in bad shape whether its Cricket scandals, money laundering by corrupts living in UK, WoT, the bombs blowing in Pakistan - or the economic and political crisis - Pakistan is somehow a constant target, shown in bad negative way - wondered why?

  • The mere fact - Indians copy every western, American and British values -drink wines, sell their wifes, company setups - do as the British Goras' do.

  • With many, many other reasons, Pakistan as it exists today was NEVER a British Colony, nor an Hindu colony but with Punjabi Sikh rules imprints and British pockets of imprints still existing do not qualify the same status as full British Raj in India.

  • Pakistanis follow 99% the ultimate Prophet Muhammad , the greatest of human being ever existed in this world and Islam as the only best religion in world.

If you still do not agree - just look at the mere fact on Queen Elizabeth 's state funeral - 95% of 220 million Pakistanis does not care, neither interested in Monarchy - nor they know of a state funeral or see it on TV - which shows clearly how much importance is actually given to western events.

Just amazed, 95% of 220 million Pakistanis donot know, neither interested in Queen Elizabeth's State Funeral.

I previously saw a negative rating on your post so I didn't comment. Over the time PDF has become a platform for trolling and nepotism (e.g., religious or political) based discussions!

My 2 cents are that majority of the Pakistanis have been told very disturbing and incorrect facts regarding British colonization and its aftermath:

-A large area of modern day Pakistan came under British rule (Crown Rule) after 1857.

-East India Company Rule and British Crown Rule was different in nature, and spread over different geographical areas. As a result, the slap or insult of being ruled by Europeans is distributed evenly on every ethnicity for the same time.

-Over the time, two separate terms with different meanings (i.e., 'British India' and 'India') were made synonymous and imposed on an average Pakistani. Pakistani un-Intellectuals made it happen with all resources at desposal.

Let's see how this thread evolves :)

Hate to state it but it was mostly from the Muhajir upper class and their few Sindhi elite & upper middle class parrots. If you talk to people from these socio-economic classes, they'll purpotrate this BS that we the people of the subcontinent were 'divided' by the British blah blah blah

Pakistanis are taught that they were a part of "India" before British 'divided' it. Not only did the British unify the subcontinent, but they also created "Hinduism."

Your nationalistic theory is questionable on several counts.

1. Do you know that a large number of hindu lived in Lahore and other places before partition?

Sir Ganga Ram is particularly renowned for his works in pre-partition Lahore.

2. Do you know that a large number of Muslims moved to Lahore and other places after partition?

Just ask around. Many families will tell that their loved-ones moved to Lahore and other places from lands now part of India.

Even the famous Bhutto family moved to Karachi from lands now part of India.

3. British-led forces invaded Afghanistan and defined a border in the form of Durand Line to identify which areas were under control of then British India in the region.

4. British-led forces composed of both Pakistani and Indian troops before partition. There was no such thing as a British-Pakistani Army back then. Many soldiers of post-partition Pakistan Army had fought for the British in World War 2. Check history of General Ayub Khan as well.

Sorry but these half-baked revisionists attempts are up to no good. WE should accept our history the way it was.

"partition" of what? An artificial British colony? You write as if India is a "continuity" of British India, when in reality it just took up the name.

It's much like British North America, which also included Canada and America the country. Yet not even Americans spend their lifetime trying to convince Canadians and the rest of the world that Canada was a 'part' of America the country.

They know the difference between America their country and British North America. Likewise Canadians are staunch about preserving their history and heritage to avoid confusing it as American.

While i reject the Islamist revision of history, i also reject the neo-liberalist jingnotist version of history created by these so-called "Desi liberals."

Rejecting one does not mean embracing the other. It is known as the fallacy of false dilemma.

You have misread my post.

No, I did not assert that modern India is a "continuity" of British India.

Post-partition Pakistan and India are modern states and identities. British India existed in the (1857 - 1947) timeline and covered the entire subcontinent. The Mughal Empire existed before the British Empire and covered much of the subcontinent. Multiple kingdoms existed in the subcontinent before the Mughal Empire.

If WE go further back in time then subcontinent was recorded through the lens of Indus river and settlements around it. The word Indos is used in ancient writings.

The word India is derived from word Indos.

Okay partly agreed. But Indos is for the Indus river for Pakistan. See on Wikipedia "India (Herodotus)."

The new "India" is not the geographical India which is in Pakistan.

Some people think we have been free since 1947

1- 1947-1956, British Monarch did had influence over Pakistan

2- Failed to Implement Land reforms , to reclaim all land from so called "People of wealth"

3- We are told Mohammad Ali Jinnah had the power, yet he was sidelined quickly to remote area of Balochistan

4- Role of Military to Silence Fatima Jinnah on numerous occasions, she was even censored to speak about her brother's death , considering she was with him in at his death bed.

5- Liaqat Ali Khan , incident we all know that happened

6- 1967-1971 , The reluctance to allow East Pakistan party to form government

7- Ding Dong constitution came in 70's , which no one could implement till now

The 25 year gap allowed Jahil people to become wealthy due to land ownership

Politician Full Focus on
a) VIP protocol
b) Give me perks
c) Give me free Utilities
d) All expense paid for daily food
e) Servents 1-2 servent
f) Governmet car and fuel free

8- Most talented generation of Pakistan between 1955-1965 born migrated to middle east, UK or USA left a void which got filed by fake degree holders

9- Control of Nawaz Sharif Mafia over Pakistan between 1980-Present
hook or crook means

The generation of Pakistani build up Middle east , to what it is now and sent remittance to Pakistan can't even vote

Then some dude thinks Mohammad Bin Qasim is my hero , who was servant of some Monarch in Arabia

It's been rough
