I was having a brain fa-rt---why did I not think about it earlier---don't know---.

If you cannot go for the F22 / 35-----go for the mother ship---the refueller air tanker---.

The air tanker cannot hide----find it---and you have part of your problem solved.

They could go for the tanker, but thats like going into enemy territory. And who knows what you might find there, if you can.

The air tankers might have an escort of these too!
A few years ahead, we might see some kind of equivalents, like the MIG-29 for the F-16 and SU-27 for the F-15, only this time China is a player too..

Robert Schmidle: I shouldn't get into the exact ranges because those ranges are classified, but what I can tell you is that the range at which you can detect the enemy as opposed to when he can detect you can be as much as 10 times further when you'll see him before he'll ever see you and down to five times...

David Martin: I want to nail that down here. If the F-35 was going up against another stealth aircraft of the kind that other countries are working on today, it would be able still to detect that aircraft at five to 10 times the range?

Robert Schmidle: You would be safe in assum
ing that you could detect that airplane at considerably longer distances than that airplane could detect you.

I have been saying for yrs now that we, the US, have effectively defeated 'stealth'. Nobody believes me, and I do not care. :enjoy:

Do you mean the US has conquered Stealth technology or what? because it is not clear what you say: "Effectively defeated stealth"
