What's new

F 16s are buzzing Lahore

British were a foreign power occupying other territory.

Jammu and Kashmir is Hindu land.
Occupied by Muslims in many parts.

The fight of our forefathers is carrying on till date

It depends on how you define the territory.

If you are referring to the princely state and its full extent, what you say is wrong. If you are referring to Jammu and Kashmir, meaning Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, you are still wrong. Only in the case of Jammu are you right. That, too, is moot, because the population of 'West' Jammu has to be taken into account (the Pakistanis call it Azad Kashmir).

Sorry, sorry....put it down to senility.

Objective of your Generals was to party in Lahore gymkhana, they all die with same wish in their heart that too against much smaller force. we couldn't achieve our objective bcoz they have in their mind that 1948 war was only fought in Kashmir so it would be the same, but they didn't know that bharati are so cowards that they will invade international borders to save their arse against numerically inferior force.

Yeh bhagora lahore capture karne aya tha :omghaha:

Tell me the objectives of your generals.. were they achieved ?

How many sq km of Kashmir was under your control pre 1965 and how many sq.km of land is there now.. or even just after the cease fire of 1965?
Happy celebrations... :enjoy:

Don't be silly.

The Lahore Gymkhana story was Pakistani propaganda; read Fatman17 on the subject, and don't just keep repeating moth-eaten stories.

As for Niranjan Prasad, he should never have been promoted after he was put through the trauma that he went through in 1962. He was medically unfit. And he was promptly removed after this episode.

.
Here's another fact. Let me share it for everyone's information:

PDF stands for Pakistan Defence Forum. So a modicum of knowledge is expected and should indeed be enforced. The day it becomes PEF - Pakistan Enjoyment Forum, quote me to give such a redundant reply.
Well, this IS a defence related subject... 1965 war that is... don't see any reason why you have to be sour about that. Also, pictures of captured Indian gear are important to PDF...

.
Here is another fact: you are simply lost for words..

True that. What can I say? I will have to unlearn and unravel as a guy who has been in this line of work - to reach your level.

Remaining portion of your statement? I now know where you are coming from :)

Did he inform higher command that he was unfit?

Dogari Lahore

Concrete pill boxes in Dograi, Lahore proved to be a tough nut to crack, as they even withstood artillery shelling! These formidable defences were finally captured in hand-to-hand combat by the 3 Jat. @hellfire

There were many parts in india that were muslim land ruled by nawabs that british raj gave to india. Your claim of kashmir being hindu land is challeneged by kashmiri people and they say you are foriegn occupiers hence they are fighting for azadi. Just like your forefathers did with british.

View attachment 423048

I'm afraid you are as mistaken as Sunil.

No parts of India ruled by the Nawabs were given to India by the British; it was not theirs to give. The princely states were given a choice of India or Pakistan, and they were told that independence was not an option that Britain would recognise.

Your views on Kashmir are the normal and expected Pakistani stereotype, so it is pointless even answering that. An answer has been given in greater and in lesser detail many dozens of times before. Please read them first.

Head back .. read the quoted post again, where I have originally quoted the member. If you are not able to understand, revert back.

It is not being sour. It is being correct.

The day Wars were started without a Political Objective, will be the day the history of warfare will change.

Did you see me quote a member from India asking where he got the gem about capture and relinquishing of Lahore?

Ignorance is neither advisable nor left alone by me. Have the 'necessary qualifications' for it.

Yes, it's fake. There is no mention in these of the Lahore Gymkhana. Another journalist used it to brighten up his copy, and it was picked up by Pakistani sources immediately. I already told you; check Fatman17's reply.

PS: Fatman17 is one of the most authoritative Pakistani members; he isn't Indian.

He was an imbecile, a product of the peace time promotions found in every army and bedevilling every army everywhere. Military History is replete with such examples.

Peace time officers do not always or necessarily make great war time officers and reverse. That is a recorded fact .. albeit unofficially.

In a quiet room, sit in front of the mirror, and ask yourself the question: "Why do I keep returning to defence.pk?"

You know what good that will achieve? You won't be posting on defence.pk for that length of time at least.
