These type of Electric battery run Rickshaws now dominate the Roads in Bangladesh.

I found more details about this manufacturer "Beevatech". Apparently they are one of those larger local manufacturers of these vehicles in BD.

They claim that they are selling around 1000 e rickshaws a month. Now even much larger manufacturers like Atul Auto (one of the smaller three wheeler manufacturers in India) produces only 4000 units per month. Hmm...

But one will start doubting those claims if he/she visit their 'plant' located in a shantytown in Dhaka.

1000 per month? Or year? Or in 3 years?

Talking out of your rear end as usual.

This is how every factory in India looks (roadside ones that is, employing appropriate technology and being low tech at that).

Are you claiming India's look any better? Don't make me start posting pictures.

e-Rickshaws like these (just like Rickshaws) are banned in some city areas and this is only going to expand. Why would better investments be made in manufacturing them?

Yet - According to a joint study conducted by The Asia Foundation and Rahimafrooz Solar, there were 10 lakh easy bikes in the country in 2017, which carried 2.5 crore passengers every day. The market for easy-bikes (e-rickshaws) was worth nearly Tk17,500 crore, the study said.

And that too - without any govt. subsidy.

For comparison, Indian Govt. provided Rs. 10,000 crore in subsidies for a scheme to facilitate faster adoption and manufacturing of electric vehicles.

Can we say - Bangladeshis are a more enterprising bunch compared to Indians? I'd say yes.

That company sells other battery driven rickshaws as well, including for cargo use. And also more expensive electric golf-carts.

The reason why e-Rickshaws are not summarily banned in Bangladesh is to provide a means of honest livelihood to uneducated and unskilled people, something no one in India cares about.

Dalit and low caste people in India died by the millions in Covid, they lead less than human lives as they always have. The world hunger index status is proof enough.

I often see Bangladeshi members randomly gripe about the second coming of an Indian member - @Nilgiri. Not sure what was done by this member that people are still terrified. This must be some PDF legend. If the member should ever resurface and the handle reactivate, hell would break loose it seems
@Nilgiri was/ is worse than @Bossman. @Protest_again is better than both. Why do these guys have to come to the BD section to vent their anger on our development process?

They just do not know that the development process of a country continues for many decades during which time the living standard keeps on improving year after year little by little.

This @Bossman was implying that since Dhaka has rickshaws, so BD is not developing. I ask him Karachi had no rickshaws even in the late 50s but is Pakistan a developed or even a developing country today in 2022?

Its economic situation has remained stagnated for the last few decades. So, better people do not spit upward, it comes down right on your very own face.

Self-criticism is better than criticizing other people's countries or religion.

But BD will be the only country other than India where human power is still cheaper than animal power or machine power I.e. millions of human rickshaws. BD has a positive balance of payments because it does not want to import oil to replace human rickshaws with machine rickshaws.
Nothing wrong here, both country has per capita income less than 3k. What should they do? Buy cars? On credit?

Bro stop feeding to trolls, if we all start doing this soon those paracites will go away.

Some people have tendency to drag others down when they are behind.

Lol. No one bothers about Bangladesh. But while praising yourself, you bring India and deride it. That's when we jump in.

India should have become the leader of S. Asia as well as SE Asia. Now, tell me what real progress did India make so far? It remains a very 3rd world country without a proper governing system, much industrialization, or functional communications infrastructures.

India is limping with its non-development of society and industrialization, and religious fanaticism, and you guys want others to praise India. No other country follows the Indian example.

No Troll-Bilol, that's not how "every factory in India" looks like. Stop pulling stuff from your rear end, we have seen this before such as those "BD tourist add $20 billion to Indian GDP" claims...

That's probably what "every factory" in low ECI score, two- patent- at- USPTO primitive pre-industrial economy looks like. Don't believe me, ask the World Bank!!!

The report finds that in Bangladesh, most firms still use basic or near-basic technologies. For example, more than 40 percent of firms still use handwritten documents for business administration, while three-fourth of them practice manual quality inspections.

Managerial and technical capabilities are crucial for a turnaround. About half of the manufacturing firms are run by people without college degrees. Compared to these firms, those with college-educated managers have a 10 percent higher level of technology. Hence, building human capital remains an important agenda, as well as enabling firms to. access advisory services in cost-effective ways.

We don't manufacture more than 4 million cars, 20 million motorcycles & ~1 million CVs in such "car factories" (That's what Google Maps calls it). Nope.

Appropriate technology? More like only technology you can afford...

"Enterprising Bangladeshis"

IMG_20220630_135258.jpg

"Not so enterprising" Indians...

Yeah, we will prefer to be not so "enterprising". Thanks, but no thanks.

Ah, Bangladeshi "research". :D

Market for e rickshaws is 17,500 crore but the total number of e rickshaws in the country is just 1 million?

Did they multiply the total number of e rickshaws in the country with the unit price to find the market size?? Excellent "research ", Rooh-Afza Solar...!!!

honest livelihood to uneducated and unskilled people, something no one in India cares about.

And even with that " honest " livelihood, 70% of your population lives in literal huts, according to your BBS' HIES 2016.

Ask your BBS to publish less contradicting reports.

Lol. Nobody asked to follow anything. Just keep India out of your dumb lips. India is better industrialized than your shitty chaddi stitching country.

lol, I don't know what's more funny...

Someone from Bangladesh- a country that relies on LDC quota to export low tech RMG and has low ECI score- ridiculing India which has a diversified industrial base & ranks fifth in manufacturing GVA.

Or

Someone from Bangladesh- where a 6 km long bridge is a huge achievement- complaining about lack of communication infrastructure in India, which is adding thousands of kilometres of highways, expressways & electrified rail lines...

Weren't you running around complaining about BD's inability to manufacture very basic products like electric motors & agricultural engines a few weeks ago? What has changed?

Bloody idiot from India!! This is an open forum and this is Bangladesh Defence Forum. I ask you not to interfere in BD affairs. Being the citizens of BD we have every right to praise or criticize our country but you have no right to put your nose.

No BD poster ever runs into your Vedic Forum and talks. Why should you shamelessly come and comment on our affairs? Mind your own business.

Whatever we say about India or any other country is our matter. Why do not you guys go back to your Vedic Forum and say anything you like about BD?
