Though, remittance every month is increasing but more so last month cuz of Ramadan/Eid and zakat people sent back home.

Exchange rates were high too..
They are quoted in dollars mr genious, so the exchange rate doesn't really matter.

The problem is most of this money goes into buying consumer goods and imported decoration pieces as Pakistanis have very little sense of entrepreneurship therefore regardless of record breaking remittances, it actually benefits the nation very less. Government should propose to form a bank specifically for expats who remit from abroad and can afford to maintain at-least $1000USD of bank balance. The Bank will advice them for investments into various development projects like power, bridges, dams, irrigation, bonds, etc etc so the benefits can be shared by all Pakistanis. Massive influx of foreign money without appropriate opportunities of investments causes massive inflation.

One good use could be financing of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline..the whole project is worth 7.5 billion and Pakistani remittances have been crossing the mark of 1 billion for last 6 months. So do the maths!

Man power and technical expertise have always been the biggest exports of Pakistan. More than 12 million Pakistanis live abroad and they remit huge amounts of money back home. With good policies welcoming Pakistanis abroad, this amount can be multiplied when abroad Pakistanis feel secure to send more money for investment in Pakistan.
