Exhibition on cultural history of Pakistan
PeshawarA three-day exhibition of renowned Pakistani artist, social worker and peace activist, Mr. Jimmy Engineer is being held in Peshawar from 9- 11 January, 2012. The exhibition of Jimmy Engineers signed 80 canvass prints will open at the Nishtar Hall on January 9th and continue till January 11. On display is the exhibition titled, A tribute to people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: cultural history of Pakistan. This includes cultural paintings, architectural compositions from across the world, landscapes, and life styles and Independence of Pakistan series paintings.
The exhibition is being organized by Department of Information, Public Relations and Culture, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with Department of Sports, Tourism, Archaeology, Museums and Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. Reception for the visiting artist will be held at Nishtar Hall on January 8 with a joint press conference of partnering institutions. The Provincial Minister for Culture and Information, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Iftikhar Hussain will be the chief guest on occasion.
