detail of the journey
In order to reach Eielson Air Force Base, after taking off from the airforce base in Jamnagar, the twelve aircraft of the Indian Air Force made a halt in Bahrain, another one at the air base Borg El Arab in Egypt, a third at the air base 125 Istres in France and a fourth at the Beja airbase in the south of Portugal, before crossing the Atlantic ocean to reach a fifth and final stopover in Canada.

The first group arrived, consisting of an Il-78 (call sign: TITAN 1) and four Su-30MKI (call sign: TITAN 2, 3, 4, and 5), landed at Istres air base at 15:30 local time. The second group, consisting of the second and last Il-78 (call sign: ASTRA 1) and four Jaguar (call sign: ASTRA 2, 3, 4, and 5) reached around 19:45 local time. The delay of the latter group was due to poor weather conditions before the departure from Egypt. One C-17 reached first before the Su-30MKI group and the second C-17 reached last, after the four Jaguars.

Takeoffs were held the next day with a C-17 first, a little before 12:00, followed by four Su-30MKI at 12:20 and quickly joined by the Il-78 that accompanied them. Jaguars, meanwhile, took off around 12:50, before being joined by their Il-78.

For those who is asking questions why Sepecat Jaguar is send to the ALASKA, for them

In truth this is of little value to the IAF, the real reason is because, despite its age, the Jaguar remains the IAF's primary SEAD/DEAD asset and this is why they are desperate to get the Rafale.

Let us hope our wish comes true at the earliest

Sir, don't have much knowledge, but few things I want to add, and feel free to disagree

1. HAL have already recieved, all tools, jigs, and design to produce them under license.
2. It is a good design, simple, rugged, and reliable, pls watch the video above, and see the landing in the unprepared ground.
3. It played a crucial role for Ground attack, during Gulf war, but French have retired them, and British with the Tornado's, so its the India, who will have to see how much they can squeeze out from it aka DARN-3, DARIN-4..
4. With time, the Jaguar, have become bulky due to various upgrades and LRU's and avionics addition, and needs more powerful engine, which Honeywell engine F-125 can provide.
5 When studying it deeply, I noticed, the read power of the Jaguar, which is the low flying capability, just 50 Mt. above ground, which will avoid all air defense system, except AWACS at high speed for extensive time, and excellent navigation, and guidance system.
6 The jaguar proves to be the most accurate during Iron Fist 2016, and can drop the dump bomb with pin point accuracy -- PS the dump bombs are cheaper than LGB.
