India has massive conventional superiority over BD. This will continue to grow.

If BD Conventional capability crosses indian threshold of Tolerance, india will take action. India will not tolerate another rival on its borders. She already has 2.

Any celebration of bd becoming militarily strong is premature.

You can guess the indian response, if BD crosses the that threshold in terms of conventional and / or Economic capability.

I know Indian threshold of tolerance will be low, but you may be worrying a bit much of what they can do about it.

The options they have are rather limited.

They make over fifty or sixty Billion dollars of revenue every year from us. What will they do, throw that will away and trade it for having 170 million Taliban next door? And very angry ones at that?

It is true that Bangladesh does not have as much leverage diplomatically as India does.

However - India IMHO will learn to appease Bangladesh and 'handle' Bangladesh. Dumb BJP idiots will learn to make do without the Bangladesh bashing they are used to doing.

As they learn that their economy is dependent on a large part with ours.

Mota Bhai Amit shah has already been told to put a lid on the hate talk and BJP hate tone from India is getting softer with every passing year. This will continue, I expect it to.

Well its very difficult to guess. Depends on a lot of factors

India is in a tight spot right now. And in tight spots people make very extreme actions.

However. Some factors should be taken into account.

If the taliban wins afghanistan and they achieve recognision from China, pakistan and RUSSIA. Then this will definetly give the islamists in BD a lot of Strength, they will certainly become more agressive as they will also expect similar support and recognision that the taliban get from china pakistan and russia.


As such that, puts india in a very uncomfortable position. Espacially if the islamists succeed to come to power with the backing of china-pakistan. China gains the most as china gets another ally in south asia, and china can be very much assured that BD wont join quad. With the current government, while they are saying the right things, the chinese cannot 100% trust them. China will have no problems trusting islamists against india .

So how india will react is anyones guess.

I hope islamists never come to power.
Nor did i say islamists will come to power. But definetly they will slowly rise their head. They certainly enjoy good support from the traditional rural communities. Who are becoming more and more disillusioned due to gap in wealth inequalities and destruction of traditional social values replaced by western liberal values.


Let's see. What happens. But the winds of geopolitics and grassroots support is certainly going in their favor.

India does not really need to take over. A short but intense conflict can send BD back by a decade or 2.

India has that capability. Can easily pull it off without facing much consequences at home or abroad. As a matter of fact, such a conflict will actually help modi G score precious brownie points after the covid missmanagement in lead upto 2024 elections.

Bjp always needs a crisis to win. Now more than ever they need a crisis.
