Eurofighter - Large Area display cockpit upgrade

.
Typhoon Wide Area Display.jpg

I do like the move towards Wide Area Displays, it gives such a massive leap in situation awareness and correlated data feeds to the pilot. The typhoon above seems like they have taken a number of the viewable panels and made them visible at the same time and adopted a touch screen interface.

After some research, i found out that the Eurofighter is using a Greenhill originated Real-Time Operating system (RTOS) - https://www.ghs.com/

I wonder if they will use the same operting system for the Tempest programme( i suspect so, given there are not many other RTOS that are military grade out there ).

I wonder if we will see the JF17 Block III cockpit anytime soon ( .. wait.. let me rephrase that .. I wonder if we will see the JF17 Block III anytime soon in a meaningul way !!!! :p: ).

I would never be comfortable with having any vital equipment which has one single point of failure, may it be multi function printers or widescreen cockpit displays. Looks neat though
