The death rate of this virus is not much higher than flu, comparing to the deaths toll of the seasonal flu, people won't even notice the small uptick, US registered 65% of deaths toll from the "seasonal flu" this year, that can translate into tens of thousands deaths if not more, we didn't see your street being littered with dead bodies.
You have had over 3000 victims in ONE area in a span of only 1.5 months. Our flu deaths are across the ENTIRE country starting in September. Imagine that Wuhan death toll repeated over and over across all the regions of China for 7 months with not much intervention and you'll understand how nonsensical your argument is.
7 months running wild across a country would be catastrophic.
