Ethnic cleansing of Muslim Rohingya's in Burma/Myanmar

More than 1200 people have been killed by Buddhist Rakhines armed by the Buddhist Burman (majority ethnic group, also called Bamar) military led govt. in Burma/Myanmar. Some video feeds of protests in Malaysia:

Out of about 2 million Rohingya's, 1.2 million have been systematically purged from Myanmar since Burma got independence in 1947 from Britain. In 1982 they made a clause in their constitution saying that anyone who did not live in the country since before 1823 (British takeover) could not become rightful citizens of Myanmar. Both Rakhines and Burmans claim that they are recent migrants from Bangladesh, whereas many of these Muslims have been in this area since 800 AD.

In the third video above Malaysian man/leader (?) says:

1. Rakhine Buddhists supported by police have burnt 30 villages and killed more than 2000 Rohingya's, govt. should allow journalists and international agency's access to Arakan state of Myanmar
2. Myanmar Govt. should take action to immediately stop this killing
3. ASEAN call for an immediate meeting to discuss this issue and take a decision on this, this has gone on for 64 years, they have a right to life and citizenship, now they are living as refugees in Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh and many other countries

I dunno whats the story behind this for I've got only a cursory idea of what happened but I do know a family of Rohingyas who came to Pakistan in the '60s when the atrocities started and they and their family of about a 100 have remained here ever since; their sons used to play football with me and studied at the same school as I used to ! Today they have their own Colony in Karachi and burmese are also among Minority Ethnic group of Pakistan . I guess their numbers are near to few hundred thousands or in millions. They aren't happy from current burmese muslims situation. Well ! Its sad to hear wats happening with Burmese muslims, We have to pick their issue on international level .

Well as long as their numbers are less than 10%. peace loving. Once it touches no peace. Well in india also, muslim majority places are not peaceful. Other community avoid them.

Every day they are brainwashed by these mullas. I don't think what ever they say after friday prayer in loud speaker is peaceful think. most of riots happens after fridday prayer.

The Rohingya are acting out pent-up feelings: they're the ones reacting to years-long violence, both from the part of the state and from their Buddhist neighbors. This attitude of yours smacks of blaming the victim -- something that you wouldn't indulge in if the Rohingya weren't Muslim. The Rohingya, by the way, aren't a majority: they probably wouldn't suffer as much if they were. By contrast, Buddhists are treated much more decently in Malaysia, where Muslims are the majority.

Speaking of having problems with being in the majority, I wonder if British Indians would try and do this in their new home country.

This is incorrect. American tutelage had nothing to with this, Burman/Bamar majority controlled army has been purging Rohingya's since 1950's, after they got independence from the British. So far they have been able to purge 1.2 million out of 2 million total Rohingya population from their homeland, in many successive waves. Earlier the Army used to do it directly. Now they found a new technique, they have armed the Rakhine Buddhist majority of Arakan province to do it for them.

My personal opinion is that like Kachin's and Karen's, the Rohingya need to arm themselves to defend their lives and property.

UN and UNHCR has been dealing with Rohingya refugee's for many decades:

Ethnic Burman/Bamar majority of Myanmar/Burma is a piece of work. Even this Suu Kyi lady, I am not sure, if she is totally forthright on this issue, even though she won the Nobel peace prize:

I would urge the PDF mods to black list that site and reference to that site should result in permanent ban. Faithfreedom.org is one of the original Islamophobic anti-Islam hate site run by an idiot ex-muslim named Ali Sina from Iran. I debated with him online in that forum about 7-8 years back.

Shame on you to bring this propaganda here, some of the pictures are actually of dead Rohingya's. And this coming from an Indian who were also massacred and purged by these same Burmese. Just learn a little history. Or is it Hindutva-wadi's nature to support any anti-Islam cause and take sides against Muslims, regardless of the facts on the ground.
