Pakistani authorities need to stay vigilant and work to get at least the majority of older people and people with certain medical conditions vaccinated ASAP (this is probably only 50 million people). Currently the virus is ravaging Bangladesh, it’s not inconceivable that it could do the same to Pakistan, especially if a large number of refugees come from Afghanistan, where it is probably also spreading freely.
If Pakistan is producing traditional method COVID vaccines locally it should work with China to try to get their latest MRNA vaccines produced in Pakistan, once they are found to be safe and efficacious through the trials. The MRNA vaccines tend to be considerably more effective against even the Delta variant.
