TUNIS (TAP) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is paying a visit to Tunisia on June 5-6, at the invitation of his opposite number Ali Larayedh.
Mr. Erdogan who will be accompanied by a delegation of several ministers and businessmen, will chair together with Mr. Larayedh the first meeting of the Tunisian-Turkish Higher Council of Strategic Co-operation, whose creation was announced on December 25, 2012 in Ankara, the Prime Ministry announced in a communiqué on Tuesday.
The meeting will be crowned with the signing of several bilateral agreements in the fields of diplomacy, security, economy, education and culture.
During his visit, Erdogan will have meetings with the three presidents and the ministers escorting him will have talks with their Tunisian counterparts.
Twinning agreements between 27 Tunisian and Turkish municipalities will be signed on the occasion, in order to "consolidate bilateral relations, exchange experiences, boost co-operation in the historical heritage, cultural and environmental fields, and reinforce services at the economic, social and youth levels," the same source says.
