ahh the indian obession with super power..wait..is the whole world gonna start wearing kurta payjama now??

Atleast we have the capability to aim for being a super power besides what is wrong in being obsessed with being a super power?

Yep the Indian obsession with wealth and super power is giving way to hitler like nationalist leaders and the worst fact that they are democratically elected. Even hitler came to power by democracy and turned Wiemar into world largest fascist republic. The cursed ghost of hitler seems to be reawakening in India this time.

That same obsession with material well being has produced a lot more horrible results in other parts of the world. It is the same argument that Chinese members put up here, are human rights more important than material well being of individuals.
Modi, maybe rules like a dictator and doesn't care much about human rights, but he does give something else to the people, material well being. In gujarat people seem to be happy with this and therefore keep re-electing him. Thats the whole idea of democracy, if he gives people what they want, he will be in power.

The cursed ghost of hitler seems to be reawakening in India this time.

Thats a flawed comparison, Hitler came in power and had to be forced into giving it up. Modi keeps his power on the basis of peoples support, and if the people in his state are happy with him in power theres not much you and I can do about it.
Perhaps a more apt comparison with Hitler would be Musharraf, he forced his way into power and had to be forced out of it. He did manage to put Pakistan in shape though, so the question returns; is human-rights (including democracy) more important than the well-being of the people.

Modi's big success 'Raaz' is that he connects people in every state government project.

In last elections(6 municipality and 1 state parliamentary) more than 30% muslims voted for him.

yeah its easy to say that when u or ur community is not at the recieving end....

Hindus have never been at the recieving end so they should take extreme care while praising these controversial figures otherwise minorities will be alienated even further

For example the killers of Indira gandhi are considered heroes among the majority of the sikh community
