Leave it to Pakistanis and Indians to twist Abdul to be 'the boyfriend '.
He was presented to queen Victoria as an Indian servant. Queen was so fond of her Indian subject. She raises him to the rank of Munshi. He asked the queen that he belonged to a noble family of Hakeem's and cannot be her servant. The royal family was so jealous of him.
