Empress Victoria and her Indian boyfriend

Leave it to Pakistanis and Indians to twist Abdul to be 'the boyfriend '.
He was presented to queen Victoria as an Indian servant. Queen was so fond of her Indian subject. She raises him to the rank of Munshi. He asked the queen that he belonged to a noble family of Hakeem's and cannot be her servant. The royal family was so jealous of him. They investigated and found out that his father was a lowly Hakeem in Agra jail. Queen still forgave him and he rose so high. She destroy his old paintings as servant and paint them as munshi. Royal family was so so jealous of him. The queen gave him several residences , one in Buckingham Palace , others at her other palaces.
Even intelligence agencies tailed Abdul when he went to India, but they found nothing suspicious. She was leaning Urdu from him, she was leaning Quran from him. He used to tell Queen how Muslims were persecuted by Hindu and Queen used to write long letters to viceroy to look after the rights of Muslims. She even once ordered viceroy to cancel a Hindu festival in favour of a Muslim one.
She used to sign her letters to Abdul as 'your loving mother ' . The was the most powerful person in royal household, he was meddling in every affair. Queen listen to no one and always side with Abdul.
The munshi became too powerful, hated by the royal family so much. He even one time wrote a Christmas greeting letter to viceroy of India signed as Queen's munshi. After that he was hated so much by the ruling classes too. How dare a lowly servant write a letter to them.
Queen gave him large lands in Agra, she again and again wrote to viceroy, so that lands can be assigned to Abdul, agriculture land as well as a house .
Abdul was given access to secretest of the letters, letters from the government, all go through Abdul, but he was so loyal he never betrayed the queen.
Queen wanted to knight Abdul, but the royal household purpose that, she is getting mad in the head and it was time for her to step down, also that Raja's and maharajah's and nawab's and so many elite all over the world are knighted and what would they say if a lowly servant would be knighted and be equal to them.
On her death, the royal family arrived to Abdul's house, destroyed everything, from the letters to every gift Her Majesty gave her. They also destroyed the queen journals about Abdul.
Abdul was a son to the queen, she really love him like that and so I thin Abdul do. Boyfriend is too much.

Read between the lines

She was a widow by the time IIRC
Do you know that till her death she wore black in grief of prince Albert. She loved him till the end. After prince Albert death she used to make servants, press his clothes, lay them out in his room, also she make servant put water and blades for shave for several years.
She mourned the prince till her death.

Then her Scottish servant was also very close to her, they were similar in age, he seems to bring her out of grief. She started walks with him and all . Some say they married but again he was eliminated by the royal household or the establishment.

The royal family cannot afford any scandle in those days. If there was remotely anything romantic, Abdul was killed in moments. She used to sign her letters to Abdul as 'your loving mother ' ...

Queen Victoria is widely known as a lady with high libido so I reckon he was her toy boy under the guise of servant.

.
Presumed lover.
She loved him as his son. Every scholar of the royal family agreed to that. Not a single one point towards love or romance.
Maybe like your fellow countrymen you watch too much Bollywood and think it is real. You people still believed that larka aur larki khaki dost nhn ho Sakta right, even larki 80 Saal ki ho aur larka 30 Saal ka.

She really was disappointed when doctors ask her not to have any more children, but he was not hers toyboy or anything. He was her son, friend and a munshi.

My dear boy, it was the talk of the town back in the day.
Surely India have
He is even though wearing turban and is chubby like sikhs
He was Muslim from Agra.

Neither you nor I know the actual truth we are just speculating. Cynic in me think they had romantic relationship, only due to two things, she spend a night alone with him in some Balmoral Estate or something, and her communication with Munshi were destroyed later on by poms. Why would you destroy something if you have nothing to hide?
Anyway, lets agree to disagree and move on.

I have read several biographies about Queen Victoria and none of the speculate anything beyond friendship between the Queen and Abdul. She found him exotic, in fact. She was terribly alone after the death of Prince Albert, so she sought companionship with many people, which Abdul was one. If there were any romantic rumors around Queen Victoria it was her relationship with John Brown.

I think people are looking for fire when they only see smoke. You should rely on historical evidence, not some Hollywood film.

If you only read real history, you would think differently .
That was me brown her Scottish servant at Balmoral castle. She was thought to be romantically involved with him not Abdul. You are confusing me brown with Abdul. Abdul came a lot after Mr Brown.
Queen was so involved with Mr Brown, that people in the palace used to call her Mrs Brown, the royal house hold eliminated him. She stayed some time with him, also both are said to be married secretly.

Where's as Abdul came a lot later.

The evidences were removed to disassociate the queen from a servant whom they hate. They distrusted Abdul so much that they though that personal letters were used to blackmail or something.

Exactly some people are confusing brown with Abdul.
Look the film also shows this side of history. But if some people would just presume that the actress was looking kindly towards Abdul, then she might be in love. Even though it is not shown. One had the liberty to think whatever they like. Or create imaginary relationship between actors.

She used to call Abdul her son. The friendship is really great and strong.

This is my last reply, she stayed alone in that Balmoral Estate only with two people, one was Mr Brown and guess what other one was Abdul Munshi, and it was main reason for speculation at that time and now. I haven't seen the movie regarding their alleged relationship so don't know what was depicted in the movie. I haven't read much about Queen Victoria apart from couple of articles about her private life. Yes, I'm aware about the different timelines of her relationship with Mr Brown and Munshi.

As I said before, it is just speculation from my side, however, I'm reading between the lines here. I agree, she used phrases such as 'Your loving mother', however, she also used 'Your closest friend' and on some occasions she also signed off letters with 'flurry of kisses'.

Can't post links however google Queen Victoria and Abdul: Diaries reveal secrets By Alastair Lawson and make up your own mind.

unsubstantiated claims. Nothing more than your regular page3 gossip I reckon. Time to move on people.
