Julia Roberts has converted to Hinduism since she started filming her latest movie 'Eat Pray Love' last year.

Ever since shooting wrapped she confesses she often visits temples to "chant, pray and celebrate."

Julia, who was born to a Baptist and Catholic couple in the US, hopes to be reincarnated as "something quiet" after the stress of her celebrity lifestyle.

She told Elle magazine: "I'm definitely a practicing Hindu. Golly, I've been so spoiled with my friends and family in this life. Next time I want to be just something quiet and supporting."

During filming in India last year, Julia completely immersed herself in the Hindu culture.

Every one gets a shock of their lives once they land and see 10,000 people in a small areas just out side of the airport - let along once you hit the main cities I am sure
