LAHORE – Punjab Education Department has decided to install emergency alarm system in sensitive schools across Lahore.
Emergency alarm system will be installed in one thousand schools of category A+ and A. The system will quickly notify nearby police station and Quick Response Force (QRF) in case of any emergency situation. Button of emergency alarm will be installed in principal office and monitoring room.
The system will be installed in the school within next 20 days. Punjab authorities are revising security plan of the educational institutes following terrorist attack on Peshawar school that claimed lives of more than 140 people, most of them children. Schools across Pakistan reopened after 26 days on Monday amid tight security.
