EME Corps

@Rashid Mahmood @Xeric
An (electrical) engineer applying for Graduate Course is bound to land up in some engineering corp if selected? Or can he be a part of infantry or artillery or armored corp like usual Pma LC gcs do?

. . . . . .
Okay. Can he volunteer for Special forces and train with them and be a part of SSG and further conduct special operations?
Yes. He can volunteer afterwards but he must be able to fulfill the requirements of SSG and pass the test...then he can join SSG
SSG ... No not at all.

They are "Early Morning" people.

that is it.

. . . .
During my engineering study in the UK, I came across a few members of REME as well as from Royal Corps of Engineers who were studying for their degree under the army scholarship scheme. Since Pakistan Army, as well as the Indian Army, has evolved from the British Indian Army, it is safe to assume that role in the Pakistan Army is the same as their British & Indian counterparts.

REME.

Corps of Royal Electrical & Mechanical engineers role is to ensure that equipment of the army remains in “Ready to use” condition at all times. In other words, REME /EME is responsible for maintaining & repairing everything from helicopters, tanks, trucks, jeeps and all kinds of weapons. In the dire circumstances, they will also fight.

Royal Corps of Engineers was originally called ‘Sappers’. Engineers are responsible for erecting as well as blowing up bridges & fortifications, handling explosives and all kinds of Civil Engineering work. Quite often, being in front of the ‘Frontline’ soldiers and /or blowing up bridges after retreat; Engineers are also required to fight.
