It is well known that the ulterior motive behind declaring Ahmadi as non-Muslims in 1974 was to eliminate nuclear scientist Abdus Salam. He may still have survived had the public not known that he was Ahmadi. But someone deliberately made this information public by shouting from rooftops about his association with the community and he was forced to leave the country.

What still remains classified is who was behind this development? CIA or RAW?

Can anybody throw light on this?

For readers unacquainted with the background: Salam was a Pakistani theoretical physicist and belonged to Ahmadi community. Salam was science adviser to the Ministry of Science and Technology in Pakistan from 1960 to 1974, a position from which he was supposed to play a major and influential role in the development of the country's science infrastructure.

Time to get out your tinfoil hats people...

Piss of Indian but yeah screw the Pakistani parliament, no government has the right to interfere with religion of its citizens. A government has to provide schools, hospitals, food and houses that's the basic minimum for a society to function normally, you took that and instead fed the masses poisonous propaganda and hate so we got sectarian killings, hunger, low literacy rate, terrorism, crime and corruption.

Declaring Ahmadis non Muslim shouldn't be intertwined with Dr. Abdus Salam related things that happened. Regardless of Dr. Abdus Salam, Ahmadis are not Muslims...that is without question bcuz they go against one of the basic principles of Islam. U can't just modify a religion according to ur liking and still call it the same religion...especially a modification of such significance.

As for Dr. Abdus Salam...whatever his personal beliefs...that's between him and God. He was an esteemed Pakistani scientist and made immense contributions that shouldn't be forgotten. Pak's politicians are idiots...just trying to score some brownie points and increasing their voter base by such meaningless gestures as changing the names of things that honored Dr. Abdus Salam. There are a lot more important things at hand that Pak politicians should be working on than this crap...but this is why Pak's economy is where it is today...bcuz we r stuck with idiots

Did he leave the country on his own or did the court ask him to leave the country?

As far as I'm aware he left it on his own. There has never been a case where a citizen of Pakistan was ordered by the court to leave just bcuz of his religion...that would be against the law.

There are many non-Muslims who do great things for Pakistan.what religion they belong it does not matter.
Do you know qadyani inform the parliament that anybody who is not qadyani is kafir when they asked questions about qadyani religion in the parliament.
