Election in 90 days: Supreme Court order

Lol dude you are confused as fck.. the whole year you told as that mahekma zaraat controls the judges..

What happened now?

Will people now yet again start to love the supreme court? Have they become pure? Until they do something that is against them.

What a complete farce! What a CIRCUS!!

9 judges bench, no 7 judges, no 5! Verdict is 3-2 , no it's 4-3.

Complete mockery of system by all involved. Even supreme court judges have proven they have no wisdom. Pakistan looks to be totally without men of substance! Politicians, army, judiciary!

This one totally mishandled by Chief Justice. He is today's culprit. He comes out like a clown in this affair.

Pakistan political system is in chaos. What if tomorrow we have new elections and a new party comes to power, will the PDM and PTI then resign and start darnas and protests for new elections for the next 5 years, then this cycle will continue for decades. Political unrest destroys the economy. Back in the 1990s PPP and PMLN governments were kept being removed after a few years in power and it bought instability but after General Musharaff we had 2 governments which completed full 5 years but this process was destroyed when PTI government could not complete its tenure. Look where it got us. We need a powerful election commission who can hold free and fair elections and the governments should complete the full 5 years so stability is created for investment and economical growth.

If during the government tenure a PM looses the majority in the parliament then new elections should be held on the MNA seats who changed parties, if opposition has more MNAs then they have the right to select the PM and overtake the government until the 5 years have ended for new general elections otherwise if the sitting government wins back all the seats they can continue.

If found unfeasible, government has to her discretion, constitutional freedom to delay elections.
Elections are held by ECP not federal govt. The care taker setup and ECP shall hold provincial elections as per constitution and SC judgement.

But but but.. establushmint and bajwa baqiat wanted to delay Imran khan from coming back....didn't want elections...

Where is all the ronduu Tolla now?
What the hell, Didnt you see all establishment backed judges were not in favor of even running a case. They knew that law is crystal clear and they cannot give any different judgement.

Not all the judges are in complete influence of establishment. Stop worshipping generals.

Aitzaz Ahsan said something very meaningful.

That in such a landmark case, it is unfortunate that the verdict is divided. Now the opposition parties can say that only with a majority of 1 we are holding elections.

Even though the division is not on the point that elections should not be held within 90 days. The divison is due to a point of procedure on suo motu, but that was totally secondary. Jab election nhn ho rahay to if the SC does not take notice then who does?

The dissenting judges should have used some common sense here.
It’s all topi drama. It’s why QFI wanted in on the bench too to muddy the waters even further.

Forget the order, I am more interested what do the 2 dissenting judges think and why the heck did they dissent.

The law is crystal clear that elections to be held in 90 days. Did they say that they can be postponed? Or did they dissent on the maintainability of the suo motu? Both are different reasons.

Finally, I still don't think things will progress now.

ECP will say we wrote to XYZ, MoD, Finance, Ministry of Law etc, but no one is cooperating with us so what we can do. Or the CEC will resign or something. But in that case I think the second in command or acting chief can give a date or the election commission board.

But yeah, still a looooong way to go before elections will actually be held.

Also still some ambiguity, did the SC say that the ECP has to give a date or is it governor?

One more thing that has become crystal clear since the last year, our constitution has way too many loopholes. In the constitution, it is said governor and ECP will give date, while in election act it is said that the president can give the date.

Same is the case with some clauses which came to the fore during the NCM and Punjab assembly fiasco.

Ya to constituent assembly was negligent in it's duties, ya to phir they did not anticipate the sheer amount of beghairty our political leaders are displaying at the moment.
They said it's pending in court

Lol..
So you think establishment had nothing to do with forcing half of judges to forget how to read

The first one was also ishaq dar doing in 2009..but took some cleaning afterwards

What are the name of judges who went against the verdict?

Such a slam dunk case and the kangaroo courts were divided. Wonder whose phone call they got.

Do general elections instead.

Let a new government form from scratch and this time let it complete full term.
