Egypt to Turkey: We will fight attempts seeking to undermine our sovereignty

The context of the "fight" as it should be understood from the original article is about legalities not war in the sea..the issue is to be resolved in the UN..

Egypt to Turkey: We will fight attempts seeking to undermine our sovereignty

Cairo has responded to Turkish statements on looking for gas and Petrol in an economic area in the Mediterranean Sea subject to Egypt’s sovereignty.

Spokesperson for the Egyptian Foreign Ministery, Ahmed Abou Zaid, commented on the statements made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Jawish Oglu on Monday regarding Turkey’s failure to recognize the 2013 agreement between Egypt and Cyprus.

The agreement sought to demarcate the maritime border between the two countries to benefit from natural resources in the exclusive economic zone of the two countries in the eastern Mediterranean.

Abou Zaid said that no party can dispute the legality of the maritime border agreement between Egypt and Cyprus. The agreement was consistent with international law and has been deposited as an international convention in the United Nations.

Abou Zaid also warned that any attempts at undermining Egypt’s sovereign rights in that region, and are deemed rejected will be addressed.

At the keyboard warriors on PDF.

Thinking that almost 100 million big Egypt is some kind of pushover and that 20 + Arab countries and 500 million Arabs (by 2050 almost 1 billion if not more) will just accept transgressions from foreigners just because 3-4 Arab states are in trouble (civil wars) currently. Launching missiles on Cairo too.

We heard similar barking about Iraq and today the Iraqi military is one of the most battle-proven militaries. I still remember the taunts back in 2014. Let us see who will have the last laugh.

Saudi, UAE, Egypt playing naughty naughty games..... someone asking for Ottomans v2.0? :D

Or another 1000 years of Arab rule (Rashidun, Ummayad, Abbasid, Fatimid, Al-Andalus) of most of the Muslim world. Remember Arabs created the largest non-European empires in history with the exception of the incredibly short-lived Mongol empire.

Don't get ahead of yourself. Last time this happened a few heads were chopped off nicely.

I can tell you if any entity (in particular regional) attacks KSA (holy land) 35 million people will turn into Daesh on steroids. In other words, we will defend our country with our life if necessary. As will every Arab country.

Not to say that your daydreaming will remain a daydream. I suggest taking a look at the words of Saudi Arabian and Turkish scholars of late when they met. Idiotic trolls have no place in the real world. You are not a Turk nor an Arab. You are a Pakistani. Let regional countries and people deal with misunderstandings. We don't need foreign cheerleaders whether they are cheerleading for Arabs, Turks or Iranians. Or Israel among the Indian Hindus here.

Arabs are uniting against iran with israel and usa:-). usa is using kurds to establishing a base in syria against iran you poor poorsian. You people will not learn, first you wher happy when trump did elected, second you want to use the ypg against turkey. The same time americans want to use the kurds against you:(. The thing is that is a problem for us to, other whise I would let the kurds and americans doing ther thing. Now stop trolling and disconnet...:-)
Poorsians (Persians) ruled your back for 1500 years. not to mention Greeks, Romans, Kurds, Seljuk Turks etc...

Yankees couldn’t do shyt against Iran for 40 years.

Americans and Kurds will destroy YOU someday that’s why erdogan is crying about gulen in the US.

Russia is not your partner also, they’re just using you.

UAE, Egypt, Iraq, etc (most of Arab regimes in general) are against you.

Erdogan has left no allies for turks except tiny Qatar probably.

There is nothing called PGC.

Last time I checked small Iraq (in comparison), moreover facing uprisings in the North and South did more harm to you between 1980-1988 than the other way around. That was just 1 single Arab country. From 1988 until 2003 (US invasion of Iraq) you could not do anything against Iraq.

BTW Arabs are not going to unite against Turkey because for now we don't look at Turkey as an enemy state let alone the Turkish people who by large have no problems with Arabs. Most regimes in power and people have a much bigger problem with your Mullah regime's policy. I suggest for foreigners not to talk in the name of Arabs. In particular as we know what a few anti-Arab obsessed and hateful creatures try to stir up here.

Anyway I can only laugh at talk about invasions of Egypt, KSA and UAE.

KSA alone is bigger than Turkey and Iran put together and has one of the hardest geographies in the world (vast mountain ranges, deserts and enormous geographical distances). Good luck.

KSA/Egypt can easily shut the Suez Canal or Bab al-Mandeb and then the daydreams end very quickly. As for Iran, we all know that they have no capability of invading KSA let alone the entire GCC. So useless waste of time and great entertainment for us.

In short keep barking while Arab countries will only become stronger by each day. Bigger economies, more people etc. By 2050 we will outnumber anyone else in the region even more than today in terms of economic power (combined) and population (combined).

Iraq's population alone by 2050 is expected to reach 85 million and almost 180 million in 2100. KSA's, Egypt's, Yemen's etc. (every single Arab country) will expand heavily too.

Most powerful economies and militaries = great correlation with population. Hence why China, India and the US will be the 3 largest economies by 2050 and also the 3 most populous countries.

Environmental challenges such as water resources will be solved by desalination (every single Arab country borders a sea) as well as other challenges.

Easy to interfere in countries undergoing civil wars. Let us see how long this will last.

All these tensions between Middle-Eastern Muslim countries are extremely disappointing...

And I used to dream about a Greater Middle East or MENA (Middle East and North Africa) United Federal Country... :(:(:(:(:(

View attachment 452516

A Country that would expand from Kashmir and The Indus in the East, to the Atlantic ocean in the west... And from Turkey & Azerbaijan in the North (I think it's too much to think of Central Asia too... Right??? ), to Ethiopia and Somalia in the South, or may be even as south as Eastern African countries (Great African Lakes region)

I don't mean that it would be an Islamic Caliphate (Khelafah)... But just a Major-Region union that includes all the countries and nations of the near and middle east, and even countries beyond this region, that may be considered a neighbor to it... I mean Old Persians, Greeks, Roman, Ottomans, and Modern European countries, all tried to seize control of all this Mostly-Saharan near-Middle-East region, and it worked, and they became the world's great powers in their time... So, why don't we just unite, and form our own Gigantic extremely-diverse Federal United State ???

Of course... this is soooooooo crazy, and extreme fantasy... With all our different nations and origins and languages, old/present wars and conflicts, and all this endless gigantic territory, that would probably exceed the total surface area of the USSR... It's so unlikely that this would ever happen.

But, you know... I like dreaming :-):-):-)
Just leave Ethiopia out of your Islamic terrorist state please ☝

Just leave Ethiopia out of your Islamic terrorist state please ☝

Almost half Ethiopia is Muslim. If not more. Can you say the same to the Ethiopian migrants in the GCC, including the illegal ones that cause a lot of problem and do a lot of crimes and drug trade? Guess not.

BTW just a last comment (side comment given the nature of the topic)

Egypt is looked at suspiciously/in a hostile manner by pro-AKP/Erdogan Turks for having ties (cultivating) with Greece and Cyprus (similar with other Arab countries forgetting that Arab countries have had cordial ties with those two regions of Europe even before Islam) but what about the logic the other way around? How should Arabs look at Turkey's policies in regard to Qatar?

Egypt is apparently a puppet according to a few pro-AKP Turkish users here but what about Qatar? It's the biggest Western puppet that just gave US the green light to expand their biggest military base in the region.

And why talk about Western puppets when you are a NATO member, host NATO bases and moreover are totally dependent on the same West (EU) economically? Is this some kind of joke talk to have ignorant Pakistani users and other Muslim users here support you blindly? I think that any educated person can spot this hilarious hypocrisy.

Such talk is nothing more than a joke when at the same time talking about unity. That's not how it is going to work.

KSA alone is almost the same size as Iran and Turkey combined. The Arab world is almost the size of Russia.

Land will be the most precious (one of the most precious) resources in the future given the population growth of the world, in particular the Muslim world. Future technology will ensure that arid regions can become fertile again. There is tremendous potential. Not to say enormous potential for renewable energy. The deserts of the MENA hide a lot of incredible wealth (oil, gas, phosphate, tons of minerals etc.). KSA has minerals underground worth 3-4 trillion USD.

A country's population can always growth or decrease. However a country cannot gain additional land unless they conquer land (s) of another country (countries).

Daydreaming of invading/attacking Arabs will not work. We Arabs do not lack anything and do not have any regional ambitions in terms of conquering foreign land. We already did that long, long ago. If we can play such games, I will claim land from France in the West to China in the East. Only retards do that but apparently it is popular among certain foreigners on internet forums.

Bombing Cairo. Invading this and that. What a joke.

. .
Nope I'm not arab ;)

I think that you need to take your medicine.

1) your dream will never happen and has never happened in history.

2) The Arab world is way, way too important to be ignored (no equal in the region or Muslim world and this fact will only strengthen in the coming decades due to population growth in the Arab world and economic growth and everything else) when KSA alone is more important to Pakistan economically, lol.

In the real world KSA and Pakistan are conducting a naval exercise while we speak and this below is just news from today;

Arab News launches Pakistan edition as part of global expansion
ARAB NEWS | Published — Wednesday 7 February 2018

Faisal J. Abbas appointed editor-in-chief of Arab News
ISLAMABAD: Arab News, the Middle East’s leading English-language daily, today announces the launch of a Pakistan online edition, as part of the newspaper’s ongoing global and digital expansion.
The service — available in English at www.arabnews.pk — covers news and views from Pakistan and the wider region, with an particular focus on Islamabad’s ties with Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.
It is updated daily by a multimedia news-gathering team led by the award-winning journalist Baker Atyani, head of Arab News’ Southeast Asia bureau.
The www.arabnews.pk site is the first of a series of country-specific online editions that the newspaper is planning to launch, and is part of the brand’s “more digital, more global” strategy which was announced last year.

Faisal J. Abbas, Editor-in-Chief of Arab News, said that the new service aims to develop “a two-way conversation with an extremely important target market for us,” citing the strategic significance of Pakistan and the historic ties it shares with Saudi Arabia and the Middle East in general.
“Arab News is already a recognizable brand among many Pakistanis, given its deeply-rooted relationship with the huge expat community in Saudi Arabia, where our newspaper was founded in 1975,” he said.
“There are numerous shared ambitions, opportunities and areas of common interest between Pakistan and Arab countries — from religion and culture, to defense and trade ties. All of these areas will be covered extensively by our new dedicated digital service,” concluded Abbas.
The Arab News Pakistan digital edition will have its base in Islamabad, and will managed by the newspaper’s Southeast Asia bureau chief Baker Atyani.
Atyani said that www.arabnews.pk would help throw light on a part of Asia which is not always well-understood by English-speaking audiences.
“It is an honor and a big responsibility to be handling this exciting project for Arab News,” said Atyani.
“It is a natural extension for an already influential brand into a geographic area which is extremely important and badly misunderstood.”
Arab News is part of the regional publishing giant Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG). It has been the English newspaper of record for Saudi Arabia and the region for over 40 years.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the country’s cash-strapped national carrier, says it plans to boost the number of flights it operates to Saudi Arabia to more than 60 a week.
The airline, which is struggling servicing its debt, is looking to business growth in the Kingdom, with routes to the Kingdom its largest source of revenues.
“PIA has an aggressive plan to boost its presence in Saudi Arabia. We will be increasing our flights to more than 60 per week and opening new destinations,” Musharraf Rasool Cyan, the president and CEO of PIA, told Arab News.
He was speaking on the eve of the newspaper’s launch of its Pakistan digital edition, www.arabnews.pk.
Cyan has vowed to revive the carrier, which the Pakistan government has opted to privatize in a bid to recover from heavy losses the airline has amassed over many years.
He said Saudi Arabia has always been very important to the airline, which currently has 55 weekly flights to the Kingdom. It flies to four destinations, with 28 flights a week to Jeddah, 10 to Dammam, nine to Madinah and eight to Riyadh.
Cyan said that by mid-2018, PIA will be launching flights to new destination Al-Qassim with three flights per week. In addition to that the carrier will be adding one flight each to existing routes to Jeddah, Madinah and Riyadh.
“This will comprise more than 60 fights to Saudi Arabia thus making PIA the biggest operator from South Asia to Saudi Arabia,” he said.
Cyan said PIA plans to open an office in Taif in western Saudi Arabia very soon. He added that, besides passenger travel, PIA has finalized a plan to enhance its cargo business in Saudi Arabia, something likely to increase trade between the countries.

Speaking about aviation, KSA/GCC has the most ideal location in the world when it comes to air travel. Almost 80% of the world's population can be reached within 8 hours of flight distance which is why the GCC has become an international aviation hub.

So I suggest to you to return to planet earth.

Moroever KSA and China are seen as the closest and most reliable allies of Pakistan according to the Pakistani people (poll results from last year - a thread was even posted on PDF about this news) and the Pakistani military as the most reliable and trusted Pakistani institution. All polls in Pakistan in the past many, many years show 95% + favorable views of KSA among the Pakistani people. You can google those polls yourself.

The few hateful anti-Arab creatures like you, are a tiny, tiny minority even on PDF which is not representative of Pakistani society as even Pakistani users here admit time and time again and ground realities show.

All you are good at is spreading hatred while using zero arguments.

Can you explain to us all here why it makes sense for Pakistan to ignore 20 + countries and an entire region that they share ancient history, religion, culture, have the largest diaspora in the world in and have enormous potential of trade with in the future? It seems that all your regional countries and neighbors disagree with such an approach.

I know that your likes blame all your miseries on Arabs (even though 99% of it has nothing to do with Arabs) but there are more to Arabs than 22 regimes in power.

.
Nope I'm not arab ;)
You should talk about Muslim unity..and leave the bias in the dust.. reality is quite different from wishful thinking.. there are problems between Iran and Pakistan and there are problems between Turkey and Iran..so your whole comment was meant to insult Arabs..which is bad for you..because they are very close to Pakistan..some of them have very tiny problems with Turkey..and most of them have no bad feelings towards Iran ..they just want it to stop trying to export its own revolution against the Shah..

.
lots of chest beating from Turks here, Egypt already started producing gas from Zohr field and announced major tenders in various fields inside its exclusive economic zone.

The Turkish Foreign minister started this rhetoric a few days ago out of frustration and the Egyptians responded via their foreign ministry.

Unlike other Arab countries like Syria and Iraq, Egyptians do not give a crap about Turkey or what it thinks.

The Egyptians have started gas production on the ground ignoring Turkish barking over the past few years.

Turkey is the one that needs Arab not the other way around.
After being kicked out of the European union Turkey has no where else to go except towards the Arab world and Iran .

Ok I repeat it’s time for Arabs to get united against turkey.

@WebMaster please check negative rating of cabalti 53 in post #36. Thanks

Turkey is only barking out of frustration , nothing serious here , Egypt already started gas production and owns the largest gas reserve field in Eastern Mediterranean .

I appreciate there are several million Pakistanis in Saudi and UAE but they are just 2nd class temporary workers you don't even give them citizenship or like them marrying arabs.
All 3 countries turkey/pakistan/Iran have common interests now all are being targeted and maligned by America an the west in recent years.Pakistan is slowly drifting away from arabs and coming out of the ummah love affair after being used and abused by them for so long-It's quite clear now listening to the opinion of many pakistani they are beginning to wake up.
Most pakistanis have Turkey's back and not just us but most South asian muslims in general traditionally supported the ottoman empire and Turkey due to the last caliphate.
Regardless of minor differences with Iran occasionally they were the first country to recognise us and Pakistan has the 2nd largest shia population in the world and in recent years we spoke out against any aggression towards Iran as well as rejected Saudi genocide in Yemen while also moving away from american camp and closer to russia just like Iran and Turkey.

Arabs bending over ? Isnt Turkey itself is a part of nato and for years has been trying to join eu.

On topic.

Ok i know cyprus is divided between greece and turkey. But cyprus people from Greek part want to join which country? Do they want to cede with turkey?

Also what i understand is that since cyprus is divided between two states and there is no resolution to it coming out in near future, then why should that mean the region that falls in greek cyprus's eez should not to be explored for oil and gas?
I mean if this issue will remain hanging for next 1000 years would that mean cyprus people from greek part wont be able to use resources falling closer to their costal line because turkey doesn't want them for the disputed nature?

If is is how it is then i kind of disagree here. Everyone needs to utilize natural resources for their benefit. Also was cyprus always a part of turkey and was invaded and partly captured by greeks? And do the greek cyrpus populace support turkey? If answer is yes to both questions then i can understand turkish apprehensions.

Anyways, egypts attitude and reaction is highly immature , this matter should be settled in un or whatever arbitrating body is supposed to oversee it.
