CAIRO: An Egyptian delegation is to participate in the international military exhibit MAKS-2015 in Russia from Aug. 25 to 30 in the city of Zhukovsky, near Moscow, Youm7 reported Monday.

Russian News Agency RIA Novosti said that Persident Abdel Fatah al-Sisi is to discuss military bilateral relations with the Russian President Vladimir Putin during the exhibit, according to Youm7.

The exhibit will include historical aircrafts, such as the supersonic air jet Tu-144 and Tu-155 along with aircrafts from World War II, such as a MIG-3 fighter jet, Youm7 reported.

Moreover, Defense News website mentioned that Sisi is expected to sign a contract to purchase Russian weapons at MAKS, quoting a Moscow-based Analyst Alexey Khlebnikov on Aug. 22.

“Some 18 units from Russia’s Air and Space forces will be on display at MAKS-2015. All four of Russia’s aerobatic teams, as well as a prototype of the Russian Sukhoi T-50 fifth-generation fighter jet, will also take part in the air show,” Sputnik News Agency reported on Aug. 20.

The International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2015 is to witness the participation of about 25 countries, with about 156 products, including Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Czech Republic and Switzerland, Sputnik News quoted a press release published by Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC.)

The agency added that, as for Russia, around 600 companies are to participate in the air show, including Russia’s state technology corporation Rostec.

Will be the T-50 has something to do with us? I mean it's 5th gen aircraft around half the price of the Rafale, it's just a matter of a political decision, would Russia allow us?
