According to CIA factbook, China has a fertility rate of 1.55 birth per woman, the 2nd best among East Asian country while Vietnam is best at 1.85.

Singapore has an incredible fertility rate of 0.8 birth per woman.

Vietnam is not East Asian. And among their South-East Asian peers, their fertility rate is not so impressive compared to Malaysians, Indonesians, and the especially fecund Pinoys who refuse to use birth control.

In Singapore, our PAP government forces our women to earn monies though we have protested and resented. First our government raises the value of our house, raises the college tuition to make sure people goes there incur huge amount of debt, raise the medical fee...etc.

If we want to get married, our public apartment of 100sqm is about SGD500,000, that is USD400,000. You need to wait for 5 years, and provided you are lucky to get the allocation. The private apartment of equivalent area cost at least USD 1 million.

Singaporeans couple incur a 30 years mortgage. Further we do not have job security.

The apartment price is on top on our student loan and our parents hospital bill that we are loaded by our government.

Meanwhile, our bankers and property developer cheers. Our government likes parasites and leeches.

dude, in china case.. think are different... imagine if china gov don't control the population... there wont be china today as you see.. so far china gov has doing a great job, you guys not starving, and the kids can have quality education, the parents can focus on one child , instead many child but cant provide good quality life..

Shanghai fertility is even lower than Singapore, its universe lowest. My Shanghai friend say in China, educated people do not reproduce. The non-educated people, the Uyghur got many babies.

instead, your gov actualy care with his people...
can you imagine, you country is just a small island with no natural resource!!
but singaporean have much better quality of life, education, sosial security , etc..

compare to indonesia goverment corrupt as fck,.. with rich with natural resource and what we got??? you can even find indonesian kids malnutrition, a whole village idiot because they can't get proper nutrition, uncompetitive education, not to mention the social security, lawless.. etc...

That is because we are hardworking and good people. All East Asian countries without going through too severe political upheaval prosper. Come and see how hard we work, how hard we study and how law abiding we are.

Put PAP is Afghan and see whether she can produce miracle.
